PSYCHIATRIST POSITION SUMMARY
The Chief Psychiatrist provides diagnostic evaluation and treatment to patients as well as psychiatric consultation, diagnosis, and treatment to patients. The Chief Psychiatrist provides clinical direction, general supervision, and training to the site staff, and has other managerial responsibilities. They approve, sign, and monitor the implementation and efficiency of all treatment plans. The Chief Psychiatrist creates discharge plans to insure appropriate follow-up and support after discharge from the facility.
PSYCHIATRIST ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provide onsite psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of those inmates referred by the medical and clinical services staff.
Provide written summaries of history, diagnosis and treatment course.
Where applicable, provide psychiatric services for inpatients, assessment, diagnosis, staffing, treatment planning, and regular review of all inmates assigned.
Where applicable, provide psychiatric services for all inmates referred to the Healthcare Unit for those inmates in the general population who need regular psychiatric/behavioral health follow up.
Where applicable, provide psychiatric services for those inmates who need to be transferred to Behavioral Health facilities. Services to include work up and any court hearing testimony needed.
Where applicable, act as regular Psychiatrist and participate in the treatment programming and planning for the
Behavioral Health Unit (if applicable) duties include regular staffing and contact with Behavioral Health Unit staff and supervisor, discussion of problem cases, follow up and monitoring of medication, and general psychiatric input.
Provide medication management to all inmates admitted.
Provide individual and/or group therapy as appropriate.
Approve, sign, and monitor the implementation and efficiency of treatment plans.
Approve all admissions and discharges into the Behavioral Health Unit, if applicable.
Provide in-service education to the site staff as needed.
Attend training and meetings as required.
PSYCHIATRIST MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Must be a graduate of medical school and have completed an appropriate psychiatric residency.
Must be licensed to practice in the state of Massachusetts.
Current DEA number.

Demonstrates support for the Tenet Corporate Compliance Program by being knowledgeable of compliance responsibilities as expressed in the Code of Conduct; adhering to federal and state laws, rules, regulations, and corporate policies and procedures policies that affect his/her specific job functions/responsibilities; and reporting compliance issues/concerns in a timely and appropriate manner.
Obtains and records client's health history; performs comprehensive physical assessment (including biological, social and psychological needs) as part of a total physical examination.
Diagnoses, treats and plans appropriate health care for clients as appropriate for specialty; refers clients to physicians and/or outside agencies as required.
Ensure completion of all required documentation of patient care activities in accordance with TPR policy.
Fulfill all duties assigned by physician
Reports to the attending physician of any injuries or adverse reactions during or after treatment
Participates in patient review conferences and staffing
Assists the physician as follows, but not limited to Utilization Review, Quality Assurance, Program Evaluation, Infection Control, Safety Committee activities
Adhere to the established policies and procedures of Tenet Physician Resources Orders and interprets the results of laboratory tests as part of the physical examination and health management.
Perform and oversee testing and other appropriate procedures.
Conducts health teaching and counseling during the physical exam, as appropriate, enabling the client to make informed choices about health and treatment options.
Provides consultative direction as needed for nursing, laboratory and clinic assistant staff.
Orders medications.

Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited school of nursing: Master's degree in nursing; completion of a state acceptable NursePractitioner's program
Certification: Advanced NursePractitioner license to practice in the state. CPR Certified. DEA registration with state.

Job Description: As an Orthopedic Physician Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care. This position involves working closely with our orthopedic surgeons in clinical consultations, pre- and post-operative care, and assisting in surgical procedures while ensuring optimal patient outcomes. The PA will also be responsible for patient education, treatment planning, and maintaining patient documentation. This is a 40-hour position, flexible shifts required.

Master?s degree in physician assistant studies or a related field.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.

Presents and discusses the findings of the initial evaluation with the Anesthesia Director and Surgeon.

Provides advanced surgical scrub services in primary service.
