Ensures treatment and consultations consistent with NCQA (National Committee for Quality Assurance), AAAHC (Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care), and federal and state regulatory standards. Assist with research projects and their implementation as needed Ensures professional growth and development through participation in educational programs and workshops and maintaining knowledge of industry standards and practices. Maintains patients? confidentiality. Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings. Conforms to surgery center standards of performance and conduct, including those pertaining to patient rights, so that the best possible customer service and patient care may be provided. ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: Indoors in climate controlled environment. Patient care environment with potential exposure to unpleasant odors, to blood and body fluids which may carry infection, to infectious disease, and to chemical and electrical hazards. Occasional exposure to outdoor climate. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Good visual acuity, accurate color vision. Ability to lift/transfer patients in excess of 100 pounds, which may require pushing, pulling and essentially utilizing a full range of body movement.
