There are times where our APP will see post op patients, but this is not regularly scheduled with the APP. The clinic volume is typically 18-22 patients with a 1 hour lunch break to break the day up. Our clinic locations are at the Siteman Cancer Center at BJH in Central West End, and we will be starting to see patients in 2026 at MoBap.
Our APPs have dedicated team members who can help with scheduling follow ups and assist with patients in clinic. In 2026, we will have 4 full time breast surgeons, 2 full time endocrine/melanoma surgeons, and 1 part time endocrine surgeon. Our APPs will primarily see new breast patients who are not in need of surgical intervention, in addition to return breast, endocrine, and melanoma patients.
Day to day would be seeing patients in clinic (new, returns, and postoperative), documentation and notes through patient encounters, and following up on patients results.
