**What you will do**
+ Performs ultrasonic diagnostic procedures as ordered by physicians. Explains procedures to patients to assure cooperation and optimum test results.
+ Positions patients. Selects appropriate transducer, depending upon depth of field, organ to be identified, etc. Conducts scanning procedures using ultrasound equipment. Moves scanner over specified body areas, adjusts equipment to focus. Makes hard copy images as directed; documents tests.
+ Assists physician in such procedures as amniocentesis, etc.

+ Assists with staff/student on-the-job training and orientation.

**Qualifications**

Requires current unencumbered licensure to practice as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) from the State Board of Nursing in the state(s) of practice and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges as required by position. CRNA certification required and maintained through the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA). Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.

**General**

+ Answering day to day medical and scientific questions, provide daily medical support to Parexel staff or site (investigator/study coordinator), as needed
+ Review and sign off adverse events report for accuracy and clinical importance, relationship to the study drug as well as for severity and seriousness; provide sponsors with periodic experience reports summarizing adverse events as required by the sponsor or authorities

Job Summary
Responsible for the administration of anesthesia. Administers anesthesia or sedation to patients undergoing a variety of surgical and non-surgical procedures. Develops and conducts pre-anesthetic plan for the patient as well as write orders before, after, and during procedures appropriately. Works with and collaborates with providers caring for the patient. Communicates with patients, family members and others on the health care team. Evaluates and orders diagnostic tests as needed. Monitors patients, including hemodynamic monitoring, using current techniques to adjust appropriately with the anesthesia plan. Ability to work with growth and development needs of all client populations.
