RESPONSIBILITIES
What You Can Expect Day-to-Day
As a medical professional, you will provide medication management services to patients of all ages and backgrounds, both face-to-face as well as through telehealth, to do the following:
Diagnose and treat various mental health conditions
Conduct medication management visits with patients
Develop a treatment plan customized based on each patient?s needs
Monitor each patient?s progress during ongoing treatment
Complete session notes promptly
Assess and refer patients to specialists as needed
REQUIREMENTS
What it Takes
We are looking for a skilled, compassionate, and experienced Physician?s Assistant or Professional Mental Health Nurse Practitioner committed to our mission of providing patients with exceptional, trusted medical services.
Mandatory Requirements:
Valid California PA License
Ability to render services in Spanish
1 year experience in behavioral health
Extensive knowledge of mental health conditions and best practices for psychological treatment
Well-developed listening and interview skills to explore patient needs and administer treatment plans
Strong verbal communication skills to counsel and advise patients
Analytical and problem-solving skills to develop effective treatment plans
Coaching skills to help patients make positive changes
Organization skills to maintain up-to-date, easy-to-navigate patient files
Familiarity with privacy, health, and safety laws
Computer skills in operating record-keeping, scheduling, email, and word-processing software
Preferred but not required:
1+ year as a PA*
Fluent in English and Spanish
Credentialed with Beacon Health Options
