Effective July 1, 2025, in accordance with the applicable Memorandum of Understanding, the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) was implemented. PLP 2025 requires each full-time employee in Bargaining Unit 16, and related Excluded, Exempt and Statutory Exempt employees, will have their base salary reduced by 4.62 percent and will receive 8 PLP 2025 leave credits monthly for at least 16 months. Salaries do not reflect the recent changes. Part-time employees are subject to the same conditions as full-time employees, on a prorated basis equivalent to their time-base. Permanent intermittent employees are subject to the same condition as full-time employees, based on the number of hours worked in the pay period.
Effective July 1, 2023, employees in this class, employed within the California Correctional Health Care Services, who are physically located at and assigned to direct in-person patient care on grounds or at a facility, shall receive a pay differential equivalent to 15% of their monthly base pay.
Only employees who provide direct patient care, treating patients in-person, on grounds, or at a facility more than 50% of the pay period are eligible for this pay differential.
Under the supervision of the Chief Psychiatrist, the Sr. Psychiatrist Supervisor provides general supervision of Staff Psychiatrists and other mental health staff; directs specialized psychiatric assessment/treatment programs; participates in the hiring of new Psychiatrists; provides consultation regarding clinical issues to custodial staff; performs special assignments as requested by the Chief Psychiatrist.

Minimum Qualifications:
Possession of the legal requirements for the practice of medicine in California as determined by the Medical Board of California or the California Board of Osteopathic Examiners. (Applicants who are in the process of securing approval of their qualifications by the Medical Board of California or the Board of Osteopathic Examiners will be admitted to the examination, but the Board to which application is made must determine that all legal requirements have been met before candidates will be eligible for appointment.) and

Two patterns of training are acceptable: Either I Completion of a four-year residency program in psychiatry accredited by the ACGME or Bureau of Osteopathic Education of the AOA. (Exception: Any applicant who completed a residency program in psychiatry that was accredited by the ACGME, or Bureau of Osteopathic Education of the AOA, or certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada at the time the applicant completed the residency will qualify under this pattern of training upon Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation verification that all residency requirements were successfully completed, and if all other requirements are met.) and
Two years of post-residency experience as a psychiatrist in a correctional facility, or in a psychiatric inpatient or outpatient setting.
Or II
Completion of a broad-based clinical year of ACGME or Bureau of Osteopathic Education of the AOA-accredited training program in internal medicine, family medicine, or pediatrics; or an ACGME or Bureau of Osteopathic Education of the AOA-accredited transitional year program that included a minimum of four months of primary care; or an ACGME or Bureau of Osteopathic Education of the AOA-accredited residency in a clinical specialty requiring comprehensive and continuous patient care. and
Three years of postgraduate, specialized residency training in an ACGME or Bureau of Osteopathic Education of the AOA-accredited psychiatry program. and
Two years of post-residency experience as a psychiatrist in a correctional facility, or in a psychiatric inpatient or outpatient setting.

Effective July 1, 2025, in accordance with the applicable Memorandum of Understanding, the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) was implemented. PLP 2025 requires each full-time employee in Bargaining Unit 16, and related Excluded, Exempt and Statutory Exempt employees, will have their base salary reduced by 4.62 percent and will receive 8 PLP 2025 leave credits monthly for at least 16 months. Salaries do not reflect the recent changes. Part-time employees are subject to the same conditions as full-time employees, on a prorated basis equivalent to their time-base. Permanent intermittent employees are subject to the same condition as full-time employees, based on the number of hours worked in the pay period.
Please be advised of the following additional pay benefits individuals may be eligible for:
* This classification is subject to Section 5, Hiring-Above-Minimum (HAM) Authorization of the California State Civil Service Pay Scales. The authorized HAM rate for this classification is $32,260.
* Recruitment and Retention Bonus may be available for clinicians newly hired with California Correctional Health Care Services.
* Effective May 01, 2022, employees in this class, employed within the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, and who are physically located at and assigned to the Psychiatric Inpatient Program, shall receive a pay differential equivalent to 15% of their monthly base pay.
* Only employees who provide direct patient care, treating patients' in-person, on grounds or at a facility more than 50% of the pay period, are eligible for this pay differential.
* Effective July 1, 2023, employees in this class, employed within the California Correctional Health Care Services, who are physically located at and assigned to direct in-person patient care on grounds or at a facility, shall receive a pay differential equivalent to 15% of their monthly base pay.
* Only employees who provide direct patient care, treating patients in-person, on grounds, or at a facility more than 50% of the pay period are eligible for this pay differential.
Please note: Individuals may be eligible to receive a $10,000 one-time recruitment and retention stipend should they meet the eligibility criteria, including but not limited to remaining employed with CCHCS for six months. Additionally, individuals may be eligible to receive a monthly recruitment and retention differential during their first year with CCHCS (totaling $5,000), should they meet the eligibility criteria.

We are seeking a Board Certified Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician to join our dynamic team as an Obstetrics Hospitalist. This direct-hire opportunity allows you to provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care in a supportive Level 2 NICU hospital environment, utilizing advanced EPIC electronic medical records while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team dedicated to exceptional patient outcomes.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide expert inpatient obstetrical care in a busy hospital with a Level 2 NICU.
Join a collaborative hospital environment committed to high-quality obstetrical care.
Care for approximately 13-14 patients daily across various settings.
Utilize the EPIC electronic medical record system for documentation and care management.
Work a schedule of five to six 24-hour shifts per month, from 7 AM to 7 AM.
Weekend shifts are required.
No on-call responsibilities.
Perform an average of 4-5 deliveries per 24-hour period, primarily vaginal deliveries with 25% C-sections.
Must have prior delivery experience.
Participate in holiday coverage with a holiday pay premium.
Qualifications:
Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) license.
Active California medical license or an application in progress.
