Henry Ford St. John Family Medicine Residency Program is seeking a full-time Family Medicine Faculty physician to join the team. The Family Medicine Residency Program was established in 1973, and there are seven residents per year in the program.
This is an employed position consisting of 40% dedicated clinical time, 20-30% teaching/precepting and 30-40% residency administration/research time.
The well-established family medicine residency clinic is in St. Clair Shores, Michigan, and is part of the excellent teaching program at nearby Henry Ford St. John Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.
There are 500 clinic visits per week. Types of outpatient visits include full scope family medicine and office procedures. The clinic hours are Monday-Thursday 8:00am-7:00pm and Friday 8:00am-5:00pm.
The clinic/residency team includes eight faculty physicians, a PhD behavioral medicine specialist, a care coordinator and a pharmacy team. There is a lab on-site.
Inpatient census average is 10 patients/day and rounding is shared on a rotational basis with a schedule of 1:9 weeks.
Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Family Medicine residency program.
Board eligible in Family Medicine required. Board certified in Family Medicine with experience and passion for teaching preferred.
Experience in research and an area of interest within Family Medicine that may enhance the educational experience of the residents is highly desirable (i.e., palliative care, wound care, sports medicine, or women's health).

Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, including telemedicine guidelines, home health regulations, and privacy laws (e.g. HIPAA).
