What you ll be doing:
Psychiatrists lead multidisciplinary treatment teams. They diagnose illnesses, prescribe, and administer treatment for people suffering from psychiatric disorders such as mood disorders, anxiety disorders, eating disorders and co-occurring disorders. Psychiatrists meet regularly with patients, prescribe psychotropic medications, provide psychotherapies, determine appropriate level of care and advocate for patient s best treatment options within health care systems. They also obtain medical histories, and order, perform and interpret diagnostic tests
Essential Duties:
Direct Patient Care Duties:
Focus on Superior Patient Care by 1) practicing evidence-based, high quality psychiatric medicine; 2) encouraging increased patient understanding, involvement in care, and treatment decisions; 3) achieving and maintaining optimal patient access to care; 4) supporting system efforts towards care improvements, standardization of care, implementation of care guidelines and clinical outcomes research
Typical patient load for full time psychiatrists includes an average of 18-24 patients per week, caseload increases when working with a nurse practitioner or physician assistant. Inpatients are generally seen by psychiatrists daily; Residential and PHP patients are generally seen by psychiatrists twice weekly.
Completes required documentation thoroughly and in a timely manner. Prepares and maintains complete and accurate charts, case files and records.
Collaborate on care delivery by 1) including staff, other physicians, and management in both service and patient care improvements; 2) treating all teammates with respect; 3) demonstrating the highest levels of ethical and professional conduct; and 4) behaving in a manner consistent with company mission and values 5) establishing and maintaining contact with referring providers both within that outside of the system 6) establishing and maintaining contact with family members and patient s support persons when appropriate.
Advocate for patients including providing consistent and timely documentation regarding the patient's need for level of care and participating in insurance peer reviews to optimize optimal length of stay for treatment.
Other Responsibilities and Expectations:
Listen and communicate by 1) providing clinical information in a clear and timely manner; 2) requesting information and resources needed to provide care consistent with company goals; and 3) providing and accepting feedback in a respectful manner from all staff.

The University of Washington Department of Family Medicine (DFM) is seeking a full-time Assistant Professor on the clinician scientist track, with the title of assistant professor without tenure (WOT) due to source of funding. This position will be a minimum of 40% clinical and includes 30% protected time for research development for the first two years. Position Responsibilities
Success in research and scholarship is required of faculty appointed in this pathway in the Department of Family Medicine, documented from appropriate sources and evaluated at the appropriate faculty level at the time of initial appointment, and excellence is for promotion. The faculty member will also provide clinical services within the department's family medicine clinical settings [Harborview Medical Center, and/or the University of Washington Northgate Primary care clinic.

Psychiatrists lead multidisciplinary treatment teams. Typical patient load for full time psychiatrists includes an average of 18-24 patients per week, caseload increases when working with a nurse practitioner or physician assistant. Inpatients are generally seen by psychiatrists daily; Residential and PHP patients are generally seen by psychiatrists twice weekly.
Completes required documentation thoroughly and in a timely manner. Prepares and maintains complete and accurate charts, case files and records.
Collaborate on care delivery by 1) including staff, other physicians, and management in both service and patient care improvements; 2) treating all teammates with respect; 3) demonstrating the highest levels of ethical and professional conduct; and 4) behaving in a manner consistent with company mission and values 5) establishing and maintaining contact with referring providers both within that outside of the system 6) establishing and maintaining contact with family members and patient s support persons when appropriate.
Advocate for patients including providing consistent and timely documentation regarding the patients need for level of care and participating in insurance peer reviews to optimize optimal length of stay for treatment.

The chair will take the helm of one of the most impactful departments of family medicine in the country. ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT OF FAMILY MEDICINE
The Department of Family Medicine is consistently ranked as one of the top departments in the U.S. by
U.S. News and World Report
and is consistently rated by the AAFP as a ‘Top 10 Department' in placing graduate medical students into family medicine. The Department has approximately 180 paid faculty, 30 residents, six fellows, 100 staff, and 1,400 volunteer faculty. Clinical faculty work across clinical sites including UWMC Montlake, UWMC Northwest, Harborview Medical Center, UW Medicine Primary Care Clinics, and UWMC Stadium Clinic. The Department contains sections of Sports Medicine, Palliative Care, Medical Student Education, Residency, WWAMI Family Medicine Residency Network, and Research, and it oversees the Osher Center for Integrative Health. MEDEX Northwest, the regional Physician Assistant training program, is also housed in the Department. The departmental budget is approximately $60 million, including clinical revenue, sponsored research funds, endowments and gifts, state funds, and affiliated hospital funding associated with the academic programs within the Department.

COMPENSATION AND LOCATION
The base salary range for this position will be $16,667 - $29,167 per month ($200,004 - $350,004 annually), commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. We are looking for Full Time or Part Time !
We are flexible!
We are open: Monday - Friday: 9am - 5pm
We are closed on the Weekends!
We Pay: $50K - $75K per year + Benefits!
Our Requirements are:
Washington Licensed Chiropractor.
Must speak Russian, Farsi or Armenian.
Recent Graduates are welcomed.
