The CRNA cares for patients at all acuity levels across the lifespan in a variety of settings for procedures including, but not limited to, surgical, obstetrical, diagnostic, therapeutic, and pain management. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform and document the pre anesthesia assessment and evaluation of the patient. Review, request, and order (as permitted by state law), laboratory/diagnostic studies. Obtain informed consent for anesthesia and related services. Select, obtain, order, and administer preanesthetic medication or treatment. Develop and implement an anesthesia care plan. Select, obtain, prepare, and use equipment, invasive and non-invasive monitors, supplies, and drugs for the administration of sedation, anesthesia, and pain management services; perform safety checks as needed. Select, order, obtain, and administer analgesic and anesthetic agents, adjuvant drugs, accessory drugs, fluids, necessary to provide anesthesia services.     $8,000 Signing Bonus! Responsible for providing comprehensive nursing services to parents and their families eligible for the Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP) program in Bergen/Passaic counties. Maintain the highest standards in clinical nursing practice, case management and care coordination, adherence to the NFP model, and to policies, procedures, guidelines and standards of NFP. Provide home visits to parents eligible for the NFP Programs (low-income, first-time birthing parents and their families, from early pregnancy up to 2 years of age), adhere to nursing process and the NFP model of home visitation. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Provide in-person home visitation to families and carry caseload of up to 25 clients Perform outreach activities to community agencies to facilitate alliances for program promotion and to improve program objectives. Develop and maintain community relationships to support client referrals and link clients with community resources that are relevant to their specific needs. Accurately assesses own learning needs and develops strategies to meet them. Motivated to utilize computer for distance learning. Establish and record progress toward annual goals. Complete required NFP education including Dyadic Assessment of Naturalistic Caregiver-Child Experiences training, and PIPE: Partners in Parenting Education. Develop therapeutic relationships, utilize concepts of reflection and motivational interviewing with families in a home visiting environment. Perform home visiting in accordance with the NFP Model Elements and NFP Visit-to-Visit guidelines and maintains appropriate, thorough, timely and compliant documentation on visits into an electronic data base. Assess physical, emotional, social and environmental needs of parent and their families as they relate to the NFP domains. Assist parent and their families in establishing goals and outcomes; provide education, support and referral resources in attaining goals; evaluate clients' progress and plan home visits in accordance with clients' goals and NFP outcomes. Formulate nursing diagnosis based on nursing assessment and client goals. Meet with NFP Nurse Supervisor weekly for clinical supervision. Utilize reflective practice in supervisory sessions. Schedule joint home visits with NFP Nurse Supervisor every four months. Attend and participates in case conferences and team meetings. Provide information to support staff for timely and accurate data input to the NFP performance management system. Participate in quality improvement efforts. Maintain confidentiality. Handle other duties as assigned. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's of Science in Nursing required. Current New Jersey RN license (in good standing) required. Current CPR required. Minimum 2 years experience in maternal/child health, public health, home visiting or mental/behavioral nursing. Bilingual English/Spanish required. Ability to work independently and manage client visit schedules to meet program visit requirements. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills. Basic computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
