Provide written summaries of history, diagnosis and treatment course.
Where applicable, provide psychiatric services for inpatients, assessment, diagnosis, staffing, treatment planning, and regular review of all inmates assigned.
Where applicable, provide psychiatric services for all inmates referred to the Healthcare Unit for those inmates in the general population who need regular psychiatric/behavioral health follow up.
Where applicable, provide psychiatric services for those inmates who need to be transferred to Behavioral Health facilities. Services to include work up and any court hearing testimony needed.
Where applicable, act as regular Psychiatrist and participate in the treatment programming and planning for the
Behavioral Health Unit (if applicable) duties include regular staffing and contact with Behavioral Health Unit staff and supervisor, discussion of problem cases, follow up and monitoring of medication, and general psychiatric input.
Provide medication management to all inmates admitted.
Provide individual and/or group therapy as appropriate.
Approve, sign, and monitor the implementation and efficiency of treatment plans.
Approve all admissions and discharges into the Behavioral Health Unit, if applicable.
Provide in-service education to the site staff as needed.
Attend training and meetings as required.

The Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist will supervise the YCCS Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and provide clinical oversight to the Youth Mobile Crisis Intervention Team.
Works in conjunction with, and under the direction of, the CBHC /Outpatient Medical Director, directs and supervises the work of the YCCS medical team including Nurse Practitioner, registered nurses and licensed practical nurses.
Provides consultation to Youth Mobile Crisis Intervention team as needed.
Oversees all admissions and discharges to/from the Youth Community Crisis Stabilization service.
Participates in inter- and cross-agency medical team meetings to monitor adherence to program specifications and quality, as well as to provide/participate in consultations.
Promotes use of evidence-based practices by medical staff and ensure medical services meet regulatory agencies and accrediting organizations standards.
Ensures services are youth-focused and family-centered.
Provides clinical consultation and expertise to YCCS staff including those specific to admission, discharge, assessment, treatment and youth disposition. Participates and/or facilitates in team and discharge planning meetings, clinical and grand rounds.
Provides clinical consultation and supervision to CBHC and Outpatient Psychiatric Prescribers (nurse practitioners, such as APRNs, PMHNPs, and PCNS) who serve youth and adolescents for outpatient medication management.
Collaborates with the Community Crisis Stabilization Clinical Program Director and Nurse Manager on developing and maintaining of the medical staffing plan.
Performs other duties as assigned.

McLean Hospital, America's top-ranked psychiatric hospital, is inviting applications for a full-time inpatient Staff Psychiatrist for our Oak Street Adult Unit, located in Middleborough, MA.
McLean Southeast in Middleborough, MA continues to expand its capacity to provide care to yet more patients and families in our academic specialty hospital services located in Southeastern Massachusetts. This includes opening all of the licensed 124 beds (80 adult inpatient, 22 adolescent Inpatient and 22 CBAT / ART); as well as partial hospitals for adults and teens; a rapidly growing TMS service; and the MCPAP site for southeastern Massachusetts, the Cape and the Islands.
Within McLean's psychotic disorders division, led by Dost Ongur, MD, PhD, who is a world expert on the clinical manifestations and neurobiology of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, we are currently recruiting a full time Staff Psychiatrist for our Oak Street adult unit.
All of our McLean Southeast programs are well connected to community colleagues in southeastern MA and the Islands and are closely integrated with our Belmont-campus clinical, research & training missions and divisions.
This position combines clinical care and teaching, with Harvard Medical School appointment. We encourage Adult Psychiatry trained candidates to apply.
Qualifications
Qualifications: Medical License from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts medical and board certified/board eligible.
Salary and recruitment package in accordance with Hospital policies, and a Harvard Medical School appointment at the academic rank of Lecturer, Instructor or Assistant Professor (full or part time) will be contingent on meeting the requirements for an HMS appointment
