    Epic Cardiovascular Staffing is looking for a full-time Staff Perfusionist to join their team in the Valley Health System, Las Vegas, Nevada. This individual will perform procedures relative to the physiological management of patients' circulatory and respiratory functions during cardiac surgery, under the direct supervision of the anesthesiologist and operating surgeon. The Staff Perfusionist will ultimately join a staff of seven perfusionists. This position involves responsibilities at three locations, Valley Hospital, Spring Valley Hospital, and Summerlin Hospital. These locations are approximately 10 miles apart and offer a comprehensive range of advanced cardiovascular and surgical services. An additional Valley Health System heart program is scheduled to open in 2026 at a new facility in West Henderson, a high-growth area near the Raiders Football Stadium. Requirements: Candidate must be certified by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (unfortunately due to licensure issues, new grads will NOT be considered. A Nevada Perfusion License will be required (Epic financed). Candidates must demonstrate well-developed interpersonal skills and communication skills necessary to interact professionally with nursing staff, healthcare team members, patients, and families. Candidates should also be self-motivated and value team collaboration, professional development, and maintain a diligent work ethic. New Grads strongly encouraged to apply! The service strives to provide safe, holistic and evidence-based therapeutic interventions for the diverse range of mental health issues that face this population, from serious mental illness to the natural struggles that accompany incarceration. The service provides some of the most comprehensive and unique treatment modalities in the country, including specialty housing units for individuals with serious mental illness, a 24-hour on-call psychiatric service, robust creative arts programming, a strong, ambulatory clinics, substance use treatment, integrated re-entry services, and relationships with multiple training institutions throughout the city. The Supervising Psychiatrist is a psychiatric leader of a facility, clinical area, or program and works in close collaboration with the Mental Health Unit Chief, Clinical Supervisors, and Senior Psychiatrist (if applicable) to ensure that a mission-driven, high quality, and innovative standard of psychiatric care is provided to patients with varying levels of mental health needs. A team-based approach to care is critical; one that incorporates all relevant mental health and medical disciplines as well as security staff. A major component of this position will be training, recruiting and retaining high quality staff and providing strong leadership and mentorship for existing staff. Under the supervision of the Medical Director of Mental Health or a supervising Psychiatrist in the Division of Correctional Health Services, this full-time position requires the provision of high-quality, team-based psychiatric care, including psychotherapeutic and psychopharmacologic interventions, for individuals incarcerated in the New York City jail system. The psychiatric service strives to provide safe, holistic, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions for the diverse range of mental health issues that face the population, from serious mental illness to the natural struggles that accompany incarceration. The service provides some of the most comprehensive and unique treatment modalities in the country, including specialty housing units (“mental observation units”) for individuals with serious mental illness, a 24-hour outpatient-level clinic in each facility, substance use treatment, integrated re-entry services, and relationships with multiple training institutions throughout the city. Each of the 12 facilities in the jail system has unique patient population and environmental characteristics; each Psychiatrist will be matched with the population that most closely meets their clinical expertise and desired work location. Experience working in correctional settings is not required, however the ability to work closely and effectively with multiple other disciplines including security staff is critical. Provides psychiatric care, including admission evaluations, follow-ups and urgent and emergent consultations to individuals enrolled in the mental health service Provide consultation to non-prescribing mental health staff and medical staff about diagnosis, treatment and/or the need for psychiatric medication Participate in team meetings with the treatment staff, on a daily basis if working on a mental observation unit and on a weekly basis if working in one of the clinics Regularly participate in the creation of individual treatment plans for patients, and review plans already in place Evaluate patients for the need for a higher level of care, including hospitalizations.
