As a Crisis Response Psychologist at the GS-0180-14 some of your typical work assignments may include:
* Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in Crisis Response in the Suicide Prevention and Crisis Response operations directorate.
* Develop strategies, advise on policies and training, and manage programs that increase the Department's Suicide Prevention and Crisis Response capabilities.
* Liaise and manage relationships with members of the Military, governmental, and non-governmental organizations involved in Suicide Prevention and Crisis Response activities.
* Provide expertise and support to operations specifically relevant to Suicide Prevention in the Military Community (i.e. Lethal Means Safety/Firearm Safety)
* Analyze modelling and research around Crisis Response systems and lead implementation of improvements to Crisis Response modeling within the Department and Military components

Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS-14, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service:
* Develops and implements non-clinical, suicide prevention and crisis response efforts in line with the Public Health approach to suicide prevention, with expertise in various strategic methods.
* Develops and conducts crisis response evaluation development, design, implementation and translation of findings.
* Coordinates and works with other DoD components, the Military Services, and/or other government agencies, to include serving on cross-agency or inter-agency working groups/committees.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes conducting bio-psychosocial evaluations, providing individual and group therapy, and provides consultation to primary care and specialty clinic providers in a medical setting. POSITION SUMMARY
