KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY * Considerable knowledge of * abnormal and clinical psychology and other psychological disciplines; * sources, uses, administration, and interpretation of a wide variety of psychological tests; * psychological research design, data analysis and application of results; * Knowledge of various clinical services; * Considerable * interpersonal skills; * oral and written communication skills; * Considerable ability to * make diagnoses, develop treatment plans and conduct psychotherapy; * interface clinical programs with multidiscipline approaches; * develop and direct training programs; * teach; * Supervisory ability. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - GENERAL EXPERIENCE A Doctorate degree in clinical or counseling psychology and three (3) years of post-doctoral experience as a licensed clinical psychologist. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Experience with providing supervision to graduate level mental health students; * Experience providing administrative leadership to behavioral health trainees; * Experience providing education and/or training to large audiences; * Experience working within graduate level clinical training programs; * Experience developing and implementing educational or clinical programs. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS * Incumbents in this class must possess and retain a license to practice psychology in Connecticut. Any person employed by the State of Connecticut prior to July 1, 1985 with a title in the psychology series of the classified service shall be exempt from the above licensure requirements pursuant to Public Act 613, Section 119 (c). For certain positions, the appointing authority may require State licensure. * Incumbents in this class must possess and maintain eligibility for participation in federal health care programs as defined in 42 U.S. § 1320a-7b(f). * Incumbents in this class may be required to be fluent in a foreign language or proficient in the use of the American Sign Language. * Incumbents in this class may be required to travel.
