    Job Description2 Psychologists needed - Silver Spring Seeking 2 licensed clinical psychologists for a growing private practice based in Silver Spring, Maryland. Our current business model provides behavior and speech therapy to children with autism. We are looking to add a psychologist that would be able to work with their parents and families. We're also interested in hiring a psychologist that has autism diagnostic experience. We are looking to hire someone as an independent contractor so we wouldn't need to specify their hours, but they could work as much or as little as they'd like. The plan would be for them to start with a small, part-time, caseload and eventually grow to full-time. The Language and Behavior Center provides family-focused Applied Behavior Analysis and Speech Therapy services to children age 0-12 years old. With a focus on Natural Environment Teaching (NET), The Language and Behavior Center believes that language and skill development should be a positive experience for both the child and the family. We are growing and looking for psychologists & counselors that would like to be a part of that growth! One Psychologist Position is for autistic children; the other Psychologist position is for the parents of the autistic children. The Psychologist works as a part of the family's treatment team. Many of our patients are parents of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. We would like to have mental health services available for these parents to aide in understanding and accepting the diagnosis, navigating interfamily challenges, and applying effective coping strategies to reduce parental stress and anxiety. Provide supervision to psychology/counseling assistants pursuing full licensure Conduct initial and ongoing mental health evaluations for parents and/or children and adolescents If appropriately qualified, provide diagnostic evaluations for children exhibiting developmental delays Provide one-on-one therapy services (in-office, in-home, or telehealth) Collaborate with BCBAs, Speech Therapists, and School team Write session notes to actively monitor the patient's progress Ensure confidentiality and abide by HIPPA regulations These are part-time 1099 positions that can grow into a W-2 part-time or full-time position if interested. These positions are new in our clinic and have the potential to grow into its own department. Ideal candidates would be experienced in providing supervision to aspiring counselors, have an understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder and related developmental disorders, and open to a positive parenting approach.
