We generally schedule coverage days during days you are already scheduled to perform evaluations.

We are hiring a Clinical Psychologist to join our team of talented medical professionals to conduct a one-time, non-treatment Veteran Disability Exams in Pueblo, CO.
Employment Status: Part Time
Compensation: This is a hourly position, paid bi-weekly
Schedule: Part Time, 2 days a week, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.

Requirements: The Clinical Psychologist must have and meet the following:
Hold a Ph.D. or PsyD, with a major in Psychology, from a doctorate or post-doctorate APA-Accredited Program.
Actively hold valid and unrestricted licensure as a psychologist.
Certification: Have an active and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good interpersonal skills and a willingness to be flexible and adapt to changing situations.
Must possess basic computer skills.
All on-site staff and contractors must be fully vaccinated per CDC and state guidelines.
Prior VA or compensation exam experience is a plus but not required.
Job Summary:
Review pertinent mental health history documentation and provide one-time, non-treatment behavioral health compensation and pensions exams for Veterans.
The Clinical Psychologist will capture responses during the exam through a web-based examination form(s); all documentation will be completed electronically. Completed exams are sent to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for disability award determinations.
Common reasons for assessment are PTSD, depression, anxiety, and eating disorders.

Travel Pay: $1,922 gross weekly
Setting: Psych Hospital
Location: Pueblo, CO
Hours: 40/week, M-F
Orientation is 40 hours for the first 2 weeks
Notes: must have 2 years of psych, corrections or behavioral health experience
Start: 1st and 3rd Monday of the month
Contract Length: 6 months
Notes: Must hold Master's in Social Work to qualify for this position
Minimum Requirements:
+ Licensing/Certification according to state/facility/contract requirements
+ The Counselor may possess an Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Counseling, Nursing or other Human Development Major
+ Current CPR if applicable
+ TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
+ Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
+ Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
