Job Summary Senior Staff Psychologist - Regular, Part Time McLean School Consultation Service GENERAL SUMMARY: Reporting to the Program Director, School Consultation Service, the Staff Psychologist will take the lead in providing direct consultation and training in evidence-based practices to our partnerships in schools and community organizations, as well as working to address arising consultative needs. Responsibility to apply specific knowledge regarding various evidence-based treatment modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, ACT) to consultative services. Has expertise in the treatment of psychiatrically impaired adolescents, parent guidance and school-based mental health. The Staff Psychologist will take an active role in contributing to SCS's program, curriculum development and program evaluation efforts. We are seeking an organized, dedicated, self-starting, and enthusiastic member of our multidisciplinary team. This is a 2 year grant-funded position. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1) Provides consultation on evidence-based mental health practices and their implementation in school and community-based settings (e.g., camp and afterschool programs). Includes topics such exposures, cognitive restructuring, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness skills for students in schools and other settings. 2) Assists in development of program services including but not limited to professional development trainings for school staff members, school-based group curricula, caregiver presentations and resources, and program evaluation efforts. 3) Works collaboratively with team members to co-create and co-deliver program services. 4) Provides supervision and peer supervision as relating to consultation services. Job Summary Responsible for providing per-diem therapeutic services to individuals, families, and groups in an outpatient behavioral health setting, the Crafting Family Support Program. The Outpatient Therapist conducts clinical assessments, develops individualized treatment plans, and delivers evidence-based interventions to support patients coping with mental health, emotional, or psychosocial challenges. This role assists the program director in improving and expanding services and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to promote recovery, well-being, and continuity of care. Conduct psychosocial assessments and diagnostic evaluations to develop individualized treatment plans. Deliver individual, group, and/or family therapy based on clinical needs and patient goals. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective outcomes. Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, case managers, nurses, and other care providers to coordinate treatment and referrals. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. Participate in clinical team meetings, case consultations, as needed, and care planning activities. Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies. Assist in developing new program materials and/or services. Comply with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations regarding patient care and privacy (e.g., HIPAA, licensing standards). Performs other duties as assigned.
