The Testing Psychologist will perform comprehensive psychological assessments to support diagnostic clarity, treatment planning, and intervention strategies for children, adolescents, and adults. This role focuses on addressing behavioral health complexities, providing actionable insights through psychoeducational and psychological evaluations, and collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams to optimize outcomes.

Work with patients of all ages is preferred, as well as their families, by providing psychological evaluations

Collaborate and review work with psychometrists and psychometrist assistants, overseeing test administration, scoring, and ensuring quality control

Maintain a detail-oriented, process-focused approach to ensure the accuracy of testing data and comprehensive reporting

Requirements:
Doctorate degree in Psychology (PhD or PsyD) from an American Psychological Association accredited program
Licensed Clinical Psychologist in at least one state
PSYPACT authorized or PSYPACT eligible preferred
3+ years of experience in psychological assessments with children, adolescents, or adults
Familiarity with evaluating complex behavioral health needs (e.g., ASD ADHD, mood disorders, anxiety, trauma)

This provider will benefit from the support and resources provided by our professional, patient-focused, and compassionate Behavioral Health department. · Provide psychology in the outpatient clinic setting; opportunities for both pediatric and adult focused practice, dependent on provider preference and scope of practice. Ability and willingness to treat patients across the lifespan is preferred.
· Psychologists are expected to maintain a caseload of both therapy and psychological testing patients; testing referrals are generally for purposes of diagnostic clarification, pain evaluations, and ADHD rule-outs. Providers have the option to structure their caseloads in a way that permits them to focus on their preferred work.
· No after hours or weekend coverage; psychologists have the opportunity to provide inpatient consults upon request.
REQUIREMENTS
A doctoral degree in psychology
Eligible for licensure in MN and ND for future growth and outreach opportunities
High level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others
Strong communication, documentation, organizational, and collaboration skills

6-8 outpatients, preferably able to serve all ages (no inpatient responsibilities
Management of psychosocial aspects of chronic and acute diseases.
Application of behavioral principles to address lifestyle and health risk issues.
Consultation and co-management in the treatment of mental disorders and psychosocial issues
Team based approach with on-site primary care services and consultation specialists at Essentia Health Fargo.
FUNCTIONS:
Assists the primary care provider in recognizing, treating, and managing mental health and psychosocial issues and acts as a contributing member to the primary care team.
Conducts client intake, focusing on diagnostic and functional evaluations, then makes recommendations to the primary care provider concerning the clients' treatment goals and plan.
Provides consultation and training to primary care providers to enhance their skill and effectiveness in treating mental health problems.
Gives primary care providers timely feedback about the client's care, treatment recommendations and progress via documentation in the client's record and verbal feedback.
Assists, to the extent feasible, in the clients' community functioning by helping with public benefits, vocational rehabilitation, social support, housing, etc.
Appropriately documents the clients' progress and diagnostic information in the treatment chart to sync with EMR interface and billing.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Excellent working knowledge of behavioral medicine and evidence-based treatments for medical and mental health conditions.
Ability to work through brief client contacts as well as to make quick and accurate clinical assessments of mental and behavioral conditions.
Comfortable with the pace of primary care, working with an interdisciplinary team, and has strong communication skills.
Ability to design and implement clinical pathways and protocols for treatment of selected chronic conditions.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
A doctoral degree in Psychology (APA Approved) and licensed/ability to obtain license in state of ND & MN
Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice.
