Provides psychological services to assist a student body in attaining their educational, interpersonal, leadership, and academic goals. Psychological services include individual assessment and counseling; clinical crisis services; case management; group counseling; psycho-educational outreach programming and consultation to students, staff, faculty, administrators, and parents/families; supervision and training to graduate students in the mental health professions; and commitment to working in a welcoming and respectful environment. Extensive knowledge of evidence and theory based mental health counseling in assessment, crisis, individual, and group with a university/college student population. Extensive proficiency in planning and delivering outreach programs and consultation services on a university campus. Working knowledge of providing supervision to trainees. Extensive proficiency in the application of communication techniques and relationship building skills that develop the ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner. Extensive proficiency in collaborating and interacting with individuals and groups while valuing the unique contribution of individuals. Working proficiency with office support tools and electronic medical records software (e.g., word processing, email, presentation software and spreadsheets, electronic health records); preferably Microsoft Office and Titanium EHR. Desirable Qualifications: Working proficiency in empirically validated treatment modalities, principally Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and/or Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) in group and individual formats. Working proficiency with serious and complex mental health concerns and with mental health crises. Working proficiency with recovery associated with alcohol and other drug related disorders. Working proficiency with trauma-informed treatment modalities. Working proficiency with students who are Mandarin speaking; Asian Indian, Latino/Latina/Latinx, and/or GLBTQ. Knowledge and experience with infusing technology into the delivery of mental health services. Interest and/or experience in counseling center research. Working proficiency with students diagnosed on the autism spectrum and with pervasive developmental disorders.
