Qualifications:
All eligible candidates must have one of the following independent licenses in Indiana:

The new 100-bed facility is a combined critical illness recovery and inpatient rehabilitation hospital on the Rush University Medical Center campus. The hospital features 44 critical illness recovery and 56 inpatient rehabilitation beds and is outfitted with the latest technology.
Eligible candidates should be board certified or eligible in Rehabilitation Psychology and possess a strong clinical background with a broad range of mental disorders. Candidates will join the faculty of our interdisciplinary collaborative academic medical center, and supervise and teach postdoctoral fellows, residents, medical students and other trainees. The Division of Hospital Psychology provides psychological services to patients and families admitted in critical care, acute care, acute rehabilitation and critical illness recovery units. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for critical care and acute care patient needs. POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direct supervision of the designated Wexford Health manager, provides tele-psychological services to patients receiving mental health services. Duties include assessment, consultation, liaison, and psychotherapeutic interventions as appropriate. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Conducts psychological screening, assessment and/or evaluations on all patients referred for examination and/or treatment following IDOC format and guidelines.
2. Prepares treatment plans on all patients requiring specialized therapy.
3. Provides clinical consultation and support to services to vendor Qualified Mental Health Professionals.
4. Participates in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings.

20. Monitors the clinical condition and treatment of special patient populations (e.g., Guilty but Mentally Ill, Developmentally Disabled, Seriously Mentally Ill) as determined necessary by the ADs or local policy (site's institutional directives).
21. Maintains documentation on all mental health contacts to include submission of a monthly summary report to the IDOC Chief of Mental Health Services and/or Wexford Health Sources representatives as required or requested.
22. Where applicable, provides services for those patients who need to be transferred to Mental Health facilities. Services to include any work-up or court hearing testimony needed.
23. Where applicable, participates in the treatment programming and planning, discussion of problem cases, follow up and monitoring of medication and general psychiatric input.
24. Provides mental health services in compliance with all Administrative Directives and Departmental Rules.
25. Provides staff training in areas related to mental health issues such as signs and symptoms of mental illness, management of mentally ill patients, crisis intervention and related topics.

The Diagnostic + Evaluation Center (DEC) at the Sonia Shankman Orthogenic School serves children and adolescents, ages 5 to 21, by providing psychoeducational, neuropsychological, and developmental evaluations and diagnosis. This is a rapidly growing center on the south side of Chicago serving families and schools (public and private) from the broad Chicagoland area. The DEC is comprised of a multi-disciplinary team of practitioners who have significant experience evaluating complex clients. The DEC is housed in a beautiful townhouse in the Woodlawn neighborhood of Chicago. The center sees a diverse set of clients from a variety of backgrounds and locations. We pride ourselves on prioritizing follow-up care which includes developing relationships with other providers in the area, including psychiatry, and participating in school meetings in a collaborative role.
Summary and Essential Functions:
Seeking a licensed clinical psychologist with specialization in assessment of children and adolescents for our rapidly growing evaluation center. This practitioner must have broad experience conducting comprehensive neuropsychological and psychoeducational evaluations for ages 5 to 21. Must provide skilled support to families including discussing diagnostic conclusions, intervention recommendations, and resources. Experience attending school meetings and understanding school services is desired. This is a flexible, part-time position with opportunity for growth.

Qualifications:
* Doctorate in clinical or school psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an APA-accredited program
* APA-accredited internship is ideal
* Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Illinois
* Post-graduate assessment experience working with children and adolescents
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong ability to empathize with clients and their families
* Strong writing skills are essential
