    BayCare Medical Group is seeking a Neuropsychologist to join our BayCare Behavioral Health team in Tampa, FL. In this role you will work with children as part of our mental health integration program with St. Joseph's Children's Hospital, assisting children diagnosed with cancer, sickle cell, developmental issues. This position will be mostly outpatient with some inpatient responsibilities.     JOB SUMMARY: The Clinical Psychologist is required to serve as an educator in his/her area of expertise, facilitate Problem Based Learning (PBL), advise Osteopathic Medical students, interview applicants, and contribute to the mission of the college through research and service. The successful candidate is knowledgeable and qualified to teach psychology at a Medical College level. Teaching responsibilities will be performed onsite at the campus in Bradenton, FL. CHARACTERISTIC JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following are a list of academic exercises that may be required as a full-time member of the basic science faculty from time to time: * Serve as content expert in clinical psychology; * Serve as Problem Based Learning (PBL) facilitator ; * Serve as advisor/mentor to assigned students; * Serve as advisor to at least one student club; * Serve on committees, as assigned; * Interview College of Medicine applicants; * Provide academic advice and support to LECOM's students through regularly scheduled and published office hours, as well as, by appointment; * Cover for on-site emergencies when needed as backup for the Director of Behavioral Health; * Act as course director by constructing, updating, facilitating, and conducting lectures in the Introduction to Behavioral Health (IBH) course; * Interview standardized patient applicants for behavioral screening; * Write behavioral health case scenarios for standardized patients for the Mental Status Examination practical experience in the IBH course; * Regularly review and contribute new BH related test bank items; * Prepare educational tools (A/V, demonstration models, lectures, lesson plans, etc.); * Prepare demonstrations, lectures, small group discussions, and the selection of suggested and required reading from various sources, and coordinating these educational tools with other faculty members; * Participate in training/preparing students for humanistic portion of the Performance Evaluation; * Participate in the remediation procedure for students having failed the Performance Evaluation; * Attend "Team" meetings approved by COM that require advancement of your profession; * Attend regularly scheduled meetings with administrative staff/supervisor; * Contribute to, and be responsible for, overall student success, including, but not limited to, advising and student outcomes; * Contribute directly to the Mission of LECOM embodying the essence of Osteopathic Principles and Practices by assisting with Institutional fundraising and participating in the LECOM Scholarship Auction; * Participate in scholarly activity so to enrich and broaden the student learning experience; * Commit to being a representative of LECOM by being actively involved in the community, including, but not limited to, serving on Boards, participating in community fundraisers and overall outreach; * Ability to take direction and receive assignments from the Assistant Dean of Pre-Clinical Education; * Available for work during the hours assigned, for student instruction with the expectation of 40 hours per calendar week when not on vacation, holiday or conference; and * Accept other duties assigned/needed for the Institution's needs.
