Clients (ages birth-21) will present with comorbid medical, developmental and behavioral health concerns. Common referrals include extreme Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder, food selectivity/rigidity, weight loss, failure to gain weight, and behavioral difficulties related to mealtimes. The team consists of psychologists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, registered dietitians, a developmental behavioral pediatrician and a case manager. Opportunities exist to build new collaborative relationships with medical clinics at CHLA. The psychologist will be responsible for providing the following: individual, family and group therapy using evidence-based psychological interventions; case management services; school advocacy; home/school visits as clinically indicated; and coordination of care with medical teams at CHLA related to specific clients on the psychologist's caseload.
