Job Description: Psychologist We are seeking a dedicated psychologist to join our team, offering a mix of telehealth and in-person appointments. In this role, you will: Conduct diagnostic evaluations utilizing intellectual and neuropsychological testing. Measure and interpret test results, designing protocols to monitor clients' neurocognitive and emotional status. Veterans are scheduled for appointments at contracted facilities for compensation and pension exams and embeds practitioners in facilities as needs warrant. Dedicated facilities are in areas where there is a large Veteran population with the potential for high volume. The compensation and pension exam helps the VA answer questions about Veterans' current health. The practitioners will not decide the percent of disability or rating, develop treatment plans, or prescribe medication. Length: 6-12 months (option to extend) Start Date: ASAP quick credentialing to train/onboard Hours: Mon-Wed, 8-4p Location: Knoxville, TN Pay: TOP HOURLY RATE Contract Description/Overview: Your services support the Veterans Benefits Administration Medical Disabilities Examinations program. Veterans are scheduled for appointments at contracted facilities for compensation and pension exams and embeds practitioners in facilities as needs warrant. Dedicated facilities are in areas where there is a large Veteran population with the potential for high volume. The compensation and pension exam helps the VA answer questions about Veterans' current health. The practitioners will not decide the percent of disability or rating, develop treatment plans, or prescribe medication. Completed documentation is sent to the VA for final determination on all disability claims. What You Will Do Perform comprehensive diagnostic assessments of patient's needs and psychosocial status. Conduct psychological and neuropsychological testing. Collaborate with other members of the multidisciplinary team, as appropriate, to develop treatment goals for the patient. Provide appropriate documentation of all pertinent information obtained in interviews, consultation with other healthcare professionals, referrals, contacts, and supportive services provided to each patient. Complete necessary documentation and reporting in accordance with departmental standards and Federal and State regulations. Our billing team will handle all billing claims and authorizations. This allows you to focus the clinical work with your patients and complete your documentation. Schedule W2, Fee for Service role, pay per encounter-just a 2-day minimum commitment per week out of M-F and you choose the days!
