As a Psychologist, you will:
Conduct diagnostic testing for suspected neurodevelopmental disorders, sometimes referred to as “autism rule-out", for children ages 18 months to 18 years using ADOS-2 and other assessment tools (MIGDAS-2, BASC-3, SRS-2, Vineland-3, etc.)
Draft comprehensive reports detailing all identified symptoms and areas of impairment related to diagnoses
Compassionately explain diagnostic evaluation findings to families
Work closely with Diagnostic Clinic staff on the patient experience for evaluations and meetings
Stay up to date on best practices for autism diagnostic assessments and ensure accurate implementation
Perform other assigned psychological services (e.g., group therapy) as directed by the EVP of Clinical Operations
Requirements
Experience and Education:
Licensed Psychologist in the state of Iowa
Minimum of one-year professional experience with the assessment and treatment of autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders
Work Environment
The Psychologist will primarily work at our diagnostic clinic in the greater Des Moines area. This position is eligible to work remotely when in-person assessments are not scheduled.
