The psychologist will provide primarily outpatient clinical care, consultation, and training in collaboration with the Division of Gastroenterology and faculty from the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences (DCAPBS) at the CHOP Specialty Care Site in Voorhees, NJ. This role will provide in-person and telehealth treatment services for a variety of gastrointestinal presentations that include disorders of gut-brain interaction (DGBIs), inflammatory bowel disease, celiac disease, and constipation. This role is a primarily clinical position, although there are opportunities for clinical research and program development in collaboration with the Division of Gastroenterology and DCAPBS. The psychologist will participate in the department's APA-accredited Psychology Internship Training Program as well as GI Psychology Externship and Postdoctoral Fellowship Programs. Faculty appointment at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania on the Academic Clinician Track is strongly encouraged. What you will do * Clinical Activity * Provides comprehensive assessment and treatment services to children and families, in inpatient, day hospital, and/or outpatient settings, and communicates with referral sources as indicated * Performs clinical services at a percentage of effort as designated by the supervisor. * Adheres to DCAPBS productivity standards. * In settings where patients are scheduled into appointments, presents an Epic schedule that rolls out, per department/division guidelines, delineating availability and anticipated vacation and conference time. The Consulting Psychologist provides consultation to clinical staff in the development of comprehensive treatment plans, in accordance with GPHA/Al-Assist Behavioral Healthcare Center procedures and in compliance with regulations of Pennsylvania Department of Health and Department of Public Welfare. Must have a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or Educational Psychology from an accredited university. Two years of clinical experience, preferably one year in the field of Substance Use Disorders. Experience, training and/or interest in Autistic Spectrum Disorders and/or in Behavioral Intervention management are especially desired. Possession of psychologist license issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Psychology or currently meets eligibility requirements for such licensure, PLUS Valid Child Abuse (Act 33), Criminal History, and FBI clearances (when applicable). Participation in and completion of all CBH mandatory in-services (must be completed within three (3) months of hire and annually from the date of the initial training). Maintain active license and certifications in good standing (if applicable). Participation in at least ten (25) hours of documented additional continuing education units per year (“year” is defined as twelve (12) months calendar year).
