Clinical Psychologist - Veteran Disability Assessments We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Psychologist to join our team in performing medical assessments for U.S. Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process. In performing Disability Assessments, you will review behavioral health records electronically through a secure Web Portal and perform a comprehensive assessment in-person on each Veteran. Length: 6-12 months (option to extend) Location: Eagan, MN Pay: TOP HOURLY RATE Contract Description/Overview: Your services support the Veterans Benefits Administration Medical Disabilities Examinations program. Veterans are scheduled for appointments at contracted facilities for compensation and pension exams and embeds practitioners in facilities as needs warrant. Dedicated facilities are in areas where there is a large Veteran population with the potential for high volume. The compensation and pension exam helps the VA answer questions about Veterans' current health. The practitioners will not decide the percent of disability or rating, develop treatment plans, or prescribe medication. Completed documentation is sent to the VA for final determination on all disability claims. Prior to the exam, the practitioner reviews a Veteran's medical or mental health history, using electronic bookmarks that highlight the portions applicable to the Veteran's claimed condition. This role is an integral part of our multi-disciplinary team, providing essential support to clinical and nursing staff while maintaining a safe and structured environment for our clients. Key Responsibilities: Monitor client activities and ensure their safety and well-being. Document and track client whereabouts at all times. Assist clients with sign-in/sign-out for approved passes. Conduct facility rounds every two hours (every hour during visitation). Oversee client admissions and discharges, ensuring all required documentation is completed. Safeguard and log client personal belongings held in temporary custody. Conduct urine drug screenings and breathalyzer tests as needed. Assist with medication administration and maintain accurate records in the electronic MAR system. Report and document client health concerns to nursing staff. Maintain electronic records, including client notes, observations, incidents, and third-party communications. Support facility cleanliness and organization, including client chore oversight. Provide transportation for clients when necessary. Prepare client meals as needed. Apply de-escalation techniques when required. Attend all mandatory meetings and complete assigned training. . IOP Day Treatment Psychotherapist **Candidates for this position must be a Minnesota DHS Mental Health Professional or working toward certification** As part of the Aris Clinic Day Treatment Intensive Outpatient Program, our therapists work with children and their families through challenging times by offering individual, group, and family therapy to help with a wide range of concerns, including school adjustment problems, depression, anxiety, difficulty dealing with loss or family changes, abuse, traumatic events, attention problems, parent-child conflicts and acting-out behaviors. Our program incorporates psychiatry with psychotherapy to holistically treat clients in our care supporting them in gaining skills to be successful at home, in school and in the community. As a Day Treatment Intensive Outpatient Mental Health Therapist your focus will be on assessment, treatment, and prevention services to children, adolescents, and their families as well as consultation with the school staff working with the student. This role is a highly collaborative function, and you will experience exposure to a multidisciplinary team working in collaboration with a variety of experienced professionals to ensure the best care for the children and families in your care. Candidates should be fully licensed or working toward independent licensure. Role responsibilities Our Day Treatment Intensive Outpatient therapists, working in collaboration with the school staff and Aris Clinic leadership, provide a combination of therapeutic services. These services can be: Provide group, individual, and family therapy Conduct diagnostic assessments (DA) to determine appropriate services Collaborate with the client and / or their family on treatment plan that incorporates DA results Monitor the IOP Milieu and facilitate Milieu Therapy where needed. Create and update treatment plans for patients Complete case management for patients Participate in school meetings Provide care coordination, including collaboration with psychiatrists and other professionals working with the client Create a discharge and aftercare plan Timely documentation according to MN DHS CTSS standards Adherence to Minnesota and HIPPA data privacy requirements In addition to the program work, therapists can build an outpatient caseload and gain additional compensation for those clients if they choose to do that.
