About the Role

Our Center of Excellence for Neurodiversity offers neuropsychological assessments, diagnosis, with tailored care for ADHD, and support for autism and learning differences. We are looking for a contract Neuropsychologist who is passionate about whole-person, whole-family mental health care.

What You'll Do:
Provide comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations for clients of all ages, in collaboration with their families and/or other collateral sources
Interpret a wide variety of psychological and neuropsychological test batteries, with occasional direct test administration
Serve as a subject matter expert in the use and interpretation of neuropsychological assessments
Supervise and oversee the work of the patient's assigned psychometrist to ensure accurate and reliable data collection
Complete detailed neuropsychological evaluation reports and prepare separate brief summary documents tailored for clients, families, and referring providers
Conduct clear, supportive feedback sessions to explain findings, diagnoses, and personalized recommendations
Collaborate with the patient's care team (psychiatrist, care manager, and/or mental health wellness coach) to inform and coordinate treatment planning
Comfortable completing in-person and virtual sessions with patients and their families
Requirements:
Doctorate degree in Psychology from an American Psychological Association accredited program
One year predoctoral internship with specialization in neuropsychology preferred
Two year postdoctoral fellowship with specialization in neuropsychology preferred
An equivalent combination of experience, supervision, or training will be considered on a case-by-case basis
Licensed in California or New York preferred
PSYPACT authorized or PSYPACT eligible preferred
Experience conducting testing virtually and in person
Familiarity with online web-based applications
Effective therapeutic communication skills

Cleveland Clinic is a World Class academic medical center and our Department of Gastroenterology, Hepatology & Nutrition is a national leader in the treatment of gastrointestinal disorders. Our GI Medical Home model of care provides an integrated patient-centered population health approach to management and treatment of gastrointestinal disorders with a team including gastroenterologists, Nurse Practitioners, nurse coordinators, a psychologist, and a dietitian. Strong candidates will possess expertise in the provision of evidence-based treatments (such as CBT, MI, ACT, and biofeedback) for health-related depression, anxiety, and pain, as well as experience working with patients diagnosed with a chronic medical condition. Strong candidates should also have interest and experience supervising trainees in health psychology.

The Division of Pediatric Psychology at Akron Children's Hospital (ACH) is recruiting for a pediatric/child clinical psychologist to join our growing Autism Center team. The newly expanded Autism Center is a joint initiative between the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health and the NeuroDevelopmental Science Center, a unique model that emphasizes interprofessional collaboration in advancing clinical care to children with neurodevelopmental disorders. The primary role of the psychologist will be conducting evaluations with the Autism Diagnostic Clinic (ADC) service. The interdisciplinary ADC evaluates a wide range of patients, from toddlers through older adolescents. The team includes clinical psychologists, psychometrics, speech language pathologists, and developmental pediatricians. Mental health therapists, ABA therapists, and ABA behavior technicians also provide individual and group intervention services.
Opportunities for engagement in quality improvement initiatives and clinical research are robust. Research support is available through protected time, close collaboration with the Research Institute to provide research coordination and statistical support, and additional funding for travel to present research at national and international conferences. Research mentorship and peer collaboration opportunities are also readily available resources.
Training and supervision opportunities are also available. Akron Children's Hospital has a robust externship program in close collaboration with several area universities, a newly developed Pediatric Psychology Internship Program, and an established Pediatric Psychology Fellowship Program. We are seeking a licensed School Based Mental Health Therapist to join our team! In this role, you will diagnose and treat psychological disorders, teach communication skills, assist patients in addressing dysfunctional behaviors, and guide them through crises. Responsibilities
Assessment and Treatment Planning: Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' mental health needs, including diagnostic evaluation, risk assessment, and development of individualized treatment plans.
Individual and Group Therapy: Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to students, both individually and in group settings, to address a range of mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral challenges, and social skills development.
Crisis Intervention: Offer immediate support and intervention for students experiencing mental health crises, including suicidal ideation, self-harm, or other emergencies, and collaborate with school staff and community resources to ensure safety and appropriate follow-up care.
Collaboration and Consultation: Work collaboratively with school personnel, including administrators, teachers, counselors, and special education staff, to support students' mental health needs within the school environment. Provide consultation, training, and support to school staff on issues related to mental health and behavior management.
Family Engagement: Engage with students' families to assess family dynamics, provide support and education, and collaborate on treatment goals and interventions to promote positive outcomes for students.
Referral and Coordination: Coordinate referrals to external mental health providers, community agencies, and other resources as needed, and facilitate communication and collaboration between school-based and external providers to ensure continuity of care.
Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential records of client assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and communication with stakeholders in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Professional Development: Stay current with best practices in school-based mental health, evidence-based interventions, and relevant laws and regulations through ongoing training, professional development opportunities, and collaboration with colleagues.
Qualifications
Ohio licensed mental health clinician (must be an LPC, LSW, LPCC, LISW, LPCC-S, LISW-S, MFT)
Licensed Interns are welcome
Previous experience as a mental health therapist preferred

Job Summary
The the contract Therapist role works under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor and is responsible for providing diagnostic assessments, treatment planning, therapy, counseling, and support services for a diverse caseload including adults, adolescents, and families. Services may be provided via telehealth, outpatient offices, and/or community-based settings. This is a contract to hire position.

Essential Functions:
Develop and maintain a therapeutic relationship with client, family, and caregivers to provide them support as appropriate.
Interact with clients in a supportive manner, encouraging discussion and activities focused on recovery.
Monitor client symptoms as well as response to treatment; communicate changes with treatment team to ensure immediate and appropriate interventions.
Assist in crisis intervention as appropriate.
Serve as a liaison to coordinate, makes referrals, or arrange for appropriate community resources when needed, acts as an advocate for the client as needed.
Actively participate in treatment conferences and meetings for the clients.
Perform related administrative responsibilities; maintains client information, reports, records, and other documents; responds timely to emails and phone calls; attends and conducts in various trainings and meetings; communicates with other agencies, departments, and vendors regarding required paperwork, contract compliance and consults with other county agencies and/or supportive services as necessary.
Accurately and promptly, document and maintain the confidentiality of client and family interactions including, legal, financial, and clinical documentation within agency guidelines.
Maintain ongoing frequent contact with other assigned OhioGuidestone professionals or outside agency professionals assigned to case.
Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
Exhibit positivity, flexibility, and a willingness to take on new responsibilities as requested or required.
Promote a team-based work environment and present the agency in the most positive light with all internal and external contacts.
Will facilitate adolescent IOP groups for both court-ordered as well as external/ internal referral sources.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Positive, caring attitude toward substance use disorder (SUD) clients and their families.
Knowledgeable about the disease of substance use disorder and community resources.
Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods; and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders.
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
Proficient computer skills, including Electronic Health Records, Windows applications, Microsoft Office Suite, etc.
Organizational skills, team player and attention to detail.
Ability to form relationships with diverse populations within diverse settings.
Performance/Physical Requirements:
Work flexible hours, which can include days, evenings, and weekends, as desired to meet the needs of clients and the OhioGuidestone and is available for crisis management by phone as needed.
Able to provide services in an office, the community and/or client homes, which may include facilities with multiple levels
Must have a valid Ohio Driver's License with a safe driving record and valid insurance.
Ability to take and pass a physical exam, tuberculosis test and drug screening.

Communicate effectively with parents, clients, peers, and supervisors to ensure smooth admissions
Travel between office locations and occasionally to referral sites (e.g., inpatient psychiatric units)
Work with program staff to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant intake processes
Provide clinical and case management services related to admission proceedings
Support team coverage as needed, including maintaining a small caseload or assisting colleagues
Create and maintain an environment of professionalism, enthusiasm, and commitment

Direct work with children who may display physical aggression
Potential exposure to blood, body fluids, and loud noise (crying/screaming)
Requires ability to run, move quickly, and lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
