The Public Health Research Analyst responsibilities will focus on conducting a landscape analysis in South LA with preliminary findings to be completed by 6/30/2021 . Their research and analysis will focus on the issues of domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking, addressing size and make-up of populations impacted, barriers to accessing services and resources, gaps and service needs and identifying opportunities to incorporate gender-based violence prevention in the Trauma Prevention Initiative (TPI) community violence prevention and intervention strategies. Meetings and events will for the most part be virtual versus live and will focus more generally on understanding the needs and services for victims of DV, SV and HT that could or might not be associated with a Family Justice Center
The Contract will end on 6/30/2021


Pay Rate-

$33.00/hr, working 24 hours a week


Shifts: Variable Start Time

Employee will be working a minimum of 24 hours a week, the hours will range from
7am to 7pm



Minimum Qualifications:

 A Master’s degree in a field of public health, social sciences, psychology, social work, or equivalent, and one year post-graduate psychology, social work, or equivalent experience, and one year post-graduate research experience – OR – a Bachelor’s degree in a field of public health, social sciences, psychology, social work, or equivalent, and any combination of relevant education and/or experience totaling three years.
 A valid California driver’s license, proof of vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.


Desirable Qualifications:

 Content expertise in domestic violence, sexual violence and trauma;
 Experience working with community-based organizations, faith-based organizations, community residents, and diverse stakeholders;
 Experience working with ethnically diverse Los Angeles communities;
 Ability to work independently and cooperatively within a team environment to manage multiple work tasks in a timely manner;
 Detail oriented but can also think conceptually,
 Strong organizational skills
 Ability to take the initiative and follow-through;
 Team player with strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to internal and external relationship building;
 Excellent oral and written communication, ability to communicate effectively with program staff and community partners;

Under the direction of the Manager, Business Intelligence Operations and the Director, Program Operations, you will lead the development of reporting and analytics solutions for our electronic health record (EHR) system. This will involve gathering business needs, documenting requirements, identifying appropriate data sources, developing reports, and delivering them to stakeholders. You will perform in-depth and precise investigations and document future-state reporting specifications and application reporting functionality. The position will require in-depth knowledge of relevant software applications, as well as an understanding of policies, procedures, and constraints.

This position falls under a "hybrid fixed" work model. You can work from home, but would be required to come onsite a specified number of days per year (TBD) at your own expense.

Qualifications

+ 5+ years of experience in a healthcare related organization

+ 5+ years demonstrated expertise in MS SQL Server or Oracle

+ Strong SQL programming skills (MS SQL Server/Oracle platforms)

+ Knowledge of data warehouse concepts, data structures and reporting

+ Epic Clarity Data Model certification in one or more modules (EpicCare Inpatient, Hospital Billing, Prelude ADT, Radiant, Willow, Optime) required
