PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The Director of Public Relations oversees a team of individuals dedicated to garnering media attention for MGM Resorts International's extensive portfolio of brands. Execute press appearances for Sesame Street characters: booking talent, overseeing talent logistics, managing scriptwriting and hiring scriptwriters when needed, managing on-site technical provisions, and executing production to create fun and engaging content for media partners. Draft and coordinate approval of press releases and talking points for a wide range of announcements. Oversee press attendance at Sesame Workshop's Annual Benefit Dinner, helping to manage red carpet and Muppet interviews. Work collaboratively with the MarComms team to identify the best outreach strategies and ensure that efforts to promote our work are integrated. Serve as liaison between the MarComms team and Sesame Workshop's Creative and Production teams. Work with and manage PR agency.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY WORK
You will report to the Chief Marketing and Experience Officer of CIC and will work closely with senior leadership and influencers including Marketing, Operations, Sales, People Success, and Finance.
In this role you will work with a distributed team working on PR across our global sites. We seek a Director of Global PR who is curious, empathetic, creative, high-energy, goal focused, and comfortable building strong partnerships within a team, company, and communities. Someone with experience working with international media teams.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Global Public Relations Strategy: Own CIC communications plan, creating (together with the CMEO) and executing all initiatives and programs. Create and maintain the official CIC story and its connected CIC entities. Lead the communications launch strategy for new sites and product offerings. Lead financial strategy plan, forecasting, and quarterly business review for the PR function. Manage an annual budget, ensuring strategic allocation of funds and monthly tracking to meet agreed spending targets. Track and monitor objectives and key results against PR-specific and broader marketing team goals.
• Global Public Relations Execution: Execute the global expression of our story and brand across media with ongoing input from key countries/regions, key stakeholders, marketing team, and CIC leadership team. Demonstrate knowledge of the shared workspaces and shared lab spaces market trends and cultivate strong relationships with clients to continuously unearth new story opportunities. Ensure appropriate market analysis and competitive benchmarking input to all marketing programs and tactics.
• Communications: Deliver clear and consistent external messaging pertaining to CIC's offerings and impact. Work closely with the CMEO and any PR/Communications external agencies on all media related activities. Collaborate with internal teams to establish clear channels of communication. Ensure that all external CIC messaging, documents, and communication tactics are developed and implemented in alignment with the broader CIC ‘voice' and business strategy. Closely collaborate with internal stakeholders to support internal communications when appropriate.
• Team Building: Manage, coach, and develop a great team around communications and PR functions and responsibilities, ensuring best-in-class understanding and efforts across a multi-person distributed team, and developing internal expertise within the team. As needs arise, work closely with the People Success team to identify, hire, engage, and develop your team to accomplish our goals.
• Leadership: Serve as a leader within our Marketing team, participating in leading, developing, and growing a team capable of high performance and delivery of high quality public relations, communication, and brand building and scaling; collaborate with/consult/support leadership across the organization; demonstrate leadership and business acumen; and enlist (as approved) and supervise external PR resources within budget.
