Assist in managing the team's social media presence, including content creation and engagement. Support media relations efforts, including coordinating interviews and providing information to journalists. Job Description The KCUR / Classical KC Marketing and Events intern will be a part of the Audience Development team, working directly with the Digital Audience and Marketing Strategist. When supporting our marketing efforts, the work will be focused on strengthening our digital presence, optimizing our content, and implementing strategic initiatives that help us grow our audience, better understand them and encourage deeper engagement. This intern's time will be split with supporting the KCUR / Classical KC Events team. They will be engaged in all aspects of planning an event, from the development phase all the way through to execution, including setting up and tearing down for the events. A portion of this work will require attendance at functions that can happen in the evenings or weekends, and regularly interfaces with audience members. Shift This is a temporary, full-time, 40 hours per week internship position. Internships are non-benefit eligible. Session start and end dates may be negotiable, depending on the intern's circumstances, but training and other events are built according to the following schedule. Winter program: Jan. 19 2026- June 19, 2026 Preferred Qualifications The person who fills this role needs to be detail-oriented, organized, a self-starter, and extroverted. Anticipated Hiring Range Internships pay $15 per hour and are non-benefit eligible positions. Interns may receive academic credit if an agreement is made between KCUR and the intern's college or university.
