1859

Founded in 1859, it is the oldest publisher in the state and the largest historical society press in the country.

1897

Established in 1897, Baylor University Press publishes about thirty new books each year for scholars, students, and intellectually curious general readers.

1907

Fordham University Press, established in 1907, the seventh-oldest university press in the country and the nation's oldest Catholic university press, is the not-for-profit publishing arm of the University.

1909

Since 1909 Branden Books has been publishing award winning books and reference materials about women, children, military, Italian-American or African-American themes.

1925

Popular series include 'Scenes Along the Rails' which takes a look at the pre-1925 era of railroading during the Golden Age of Steam; and 'Railroads Over Time' which depict the evolution of a railroad from its inception through the modern age of steam, diesel, and electric operations.

The University of Arkansas Press was founded in 1980 as the book publishing division of the University of Arkansas.

1984

High Plains Press, located near Glendo, Wyoming, has published over 50 books since its beginning in 1984.

1985

In 1985 historian John Hubbell assumed the directorship and grew the staff and publishing program to include widely regarded lists in Civil War and Ohio history.

1986

1987

Camino Books was founded in 1987 for the purpose of publishing quality nonfiction books of regional interest to people in the Middle Atlantic states.

1988

In 2008 Hancock House launched its first e-books.

2014

In 2014, Constable & Robinson was acquired by Little, Brown Book Group.

River Road Press LLC was founded in 2014 in New Orleans, Louisiana.
