The Digital Publishing Associate ensures that Publishing management has the information needed to assess the performance of digital products and services and to make decisions regarding promotions, product enhancements, and new product development. The Analyst also performs tasks required for production of AACR journal content on web sites and provides backup for selected electronic publishing functions.
Responsibilities
•Monitor and report on performance of AACR journals websites using Google Analytics.
•Maintain bibliometrics tools provided by hosting service (Impact Vizor and Usage Vizor), including performing reporting and analysis, data updates, user support, and training.
•Monitor and report on performance of content alerts distributed by e-mail, recommend changes in practice to optimize functionality and performance of alerts.
•Monitor use of social media platforms (e.g., Twitter, LinkedIn) as dissemination channels for scientific publications and communications; prepare regular analyses for Division.
•Serves as principal liaison to hosting service and other vendors for all analytics activities to ensure that editorial and business staff have access to data in a timely and efficient manner.
•Collaborate with Senior Manager, Publishing Technology to develop and maintain custom data collection and reporting tools as needed.
•Monitor performance of AACR journals in major search engines; recommend changes in practice to optimize ranking and discoverability of AACR content.
•Integrate new types of data (e.g., new article performance metrics, semantic enrichment analytics) when available into overall analytics architecture.
