A production worker is responsible for operating and maintaining equipment in a factory or warehouse and preparing items for distribution. The job description of a production worker involves assembling and checking product parts, ensuring that all machinery runs smoothly, and assisting in the shipment of items. A production worker cleans and operates factory equipment, works on an assembly line, puts together and inspects products, and adheres to all factory safety guidelines and standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Starts assembly and production machinery at beginning of shift.
Monitors equipment to ensure that products are being assembled properly.
Makes sure that workstation is clean and free of hazardous materials.
Addresses problems with production equipment and machinery and fixes them as needed.
Cleans equipment.
Assembles product parts by hand
uses power tools to solder, weld, drill, and attach parts.
Observes and removes faulty product parts from assembly line
Inspects assemble products to ensure they are up to quality standards.
Affixes labels, company logos, and other exterior details to products
Packs up completed products and prepares them for shipment
Keeps factory floor clean
Unloads, organizes, and stocks shipments
Adheres to all safety guidelines
Ensures that all production deadlines are met
Reports issues or problems with production to immediate supervisor.
Qualifications

Demonstrates ability to interpret equipment gauges and monitors on factory equipment
Possesses knowledge of the structure and function of production equipment.
Is able to identify problems or malfunctions with machinery and equipment.
Demonstrates analytical thinking and problem-solving skills necessary to troubleshoot production issues.
Pays close attention to detail
Exhibits ability to work cautiously but efficiently in potentially hazardous conditions
Is familiar with all factory safety procedures and guidelines
Demonstrates ability to use power tools safely and effectively

Understand machine set-up techniques for the Die Cutter - (i.e.: print plates and die boards)

Crosstrain on other machines when possible and necessary

Completing Maintenance Work Orders for necessary repairs.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPEREINCE:

Experience working in a manufacturing environment

Ability to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement, volume, and rate.

POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for the production of frozen novelty ice cream. The Production employees are responsible for making the product and running the vitaline machines based on the schedule provided by senior management. This includes, but not limited to, standing for the entire shift the inspection of the popsicles, or cups, from a moving conveyer system, product fill, and inspect the seal on paper wraps, or lids. Must be capable of learning the product and company's requirements of final product expectation. The LineWorker must be able to inspect, and work from a fast-moving conveyer system coming from filler machine for quality. This function may require lifting up to, and including, fifty pounds (50 lbs) throughout the shift. Additionally, this position requires adherence to Housekeeping, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Safety and all other Company Rules and Policies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
