Pallet Puller FULL-TIME

General Summary
Transports pallets between the warehouse, the production floor, and the distribution center.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
1. Transports pallets from the packaging line to the distribution center.
2. Delivers empty pallets to the production line.
3. Delivers packaging materials to the production line.
4. Wraps loaded pallets according to company guidelines.
5. Ensures electric jacks are in working order and reports problem to the maintenance department.
6. Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
7. Follows company safety guidelines and Good Manufacturing Practices.
8. Regular attendance and punctuality is required due to working with people, items and equipment that are at the facility.
Job Specifications
1. Pallet jack or forklift experience is required.
2. English/Spanish bilingual a plus.
Working Conditions
1. Refrigerated food manufacturing plant.
2. The environment may be wet or dry and temperatures may range from 25°F to 110°F.

Pullers/Sorters are responsible for the pulling of the correct items in correct quantities for each retail store, as indicated on the pack slips for each order. They have good attention to detail, the ability to inspect for quality and quantity, as well as strong communication skills for notifying the line leader of issues, prior to packaging. The Order Puller may also be responsible to perform other duties as capable and assigned.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for pulling the correct item and amount as indicated on pack slip
  • Notify line leaders of any discrepancies on the pull line
  • Perform Quality Control Inspections while pulling
  • Package signage as required
  • Walk pull lines assigned to ensure accuracy of orders
  • Build boxes as required to complete pull
  • Help with fabrication and all aspects of pull

Basic qualifications:

  • Highschool diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to speak, read and write English
  • Available for weekend work schedules and overtime
  • Required to lift up to a minimum of 50lbs
  • Required to follow safety instructions and adhere to safety procedures
