Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY, located just 75 minutes north of New York City, is seeking a board certified Pulmonary and Critical Care physician to join our established and rapidly expanding Pulmonary and Critical Care Department. Excellent opportunity to join an experienced team and work in all aspects of Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine. Pulmonary office suite conveniently located across the street from the hospital in new medical office building. Access to EBUS and navigational bronchoscopy. Additional training/board certification in Sleep Medicine a plus.

• Team of 7 physicians and 8 advanced practitioners
• Closed ICU; Mandatory consult and heavy patient management

• Call ratio of hospital to office is approximately 70:30; Call is 1:6

• MD or DO; Must be board certified in internal medicine and board certified or board eligible in pulmonary and critical care medicine

• Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to perform all technical skills in the critical care setting

Qualifications:

• Applicants must have an M.D., completion of an internal medicine residency and have demonstrated high-level qualifications and in-depth knowledge in the area of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine including Board Certification or eligibility in both specialty areas.

• Licensed or ability to obtain medical license and DEA in the State of Minnesota, and meet threshold criteria/qualifications for credentialing and privileges.

• Ability to receive work authorization in the United States from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and maintain legal status according to the requirements of VISA category while in the United States.
