The College of Dentistry at the Ohio State University seeks applications for a full-time oral and maxillofacial surgeon in a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of assistant or associate professor in the Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Dental Anesthesiology. Performance Objectives
The faculty hired into this position will be expected to:
Teach at the pre-doctoral and resident trainee levels in both didactic and clinical settings.
Engage in research within the college and across other health science units at the Ohio State University and demonstrate high-quality scholarly work, including presentations at professional meetings and publications of basic or clinical research. The tenure-track faculty member will have a much greater emphasis placed on the pursuit of research and extramural funding in accordance with promotion requirements.
Serve in university and college governance.
Practice the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery and participate in maxillofacial trauma and odontogenic infection call for all affiliated hospitals.

The Cleveland Clinic Children's, part of Cleveland Clinic, is seeking a Pediatric Pulmonologist to join our Center for Pediatric Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine. The Center for Pediatric Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine provides a variety of clinical services supporting secondary to quaternary level patients in the ambulatory and hospitalized settings. Additionally, active quality improvement, research, and teaching programs are conducted within the Center.
Our group's specialty clinical programs include severe asthma, BPD, pulmonary hypertension, bronchoscopy, aerodigestive, home ventilator, sleep medicine, and the region's premier accredited Pediatric Cystic Fibrosis Center, as well as the region's only fully capable fetal care and surgery program. We have active collaborative partnerships with our PICU, NICU, Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiothoracic Surgery teams, and the #6 USNWR nationally ranked adult Pulmonary Medicine program. Additionally, our team supports complex patients at our Cleveland Clinic Children's Hospital for Rehabilitation, one of only 13 free-standing pediatric rehabilitation hospitals nationwide, located 2 miles from the Cleveland Clinic's Main Campus.

The Cincinnati VA Medical Center (VAMC) is searching for a full-time Staff Cardiologist to fulfill the current staffing needs of our facility. The Cincinnati VAMC is an active teaching hospital that is affiliated with and in walking distance of the University of Cincinnati. The Cardiologist will primarily serve in both the inpatient and outpatient setting.

The Staff Physician -Cardiology's primary role is to provide clinical care in Cardiology and to oversee the educations of Residents, Fellows, and Medical Students within his/her practice area.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
* Serves as acting chief of the section (if appropriate), as needed.
* Provides guidance and support to the physician assistants and nurse practitioners assigned to Medical Service in their respective areas of expertise.
* Provides guidance and supervision for the medical students and residents (interns, residents, and/or fellows) assigned to General Medicine House Service/subspecialty services and clinics according to facility standards when assigned to do so by the Chief, Medical Service.
* Participates in and attends medical center committees as assigned by the Section Chief and or Chief Medical Service and in his/her absence when requested.
* Participates in various facility programs designed to enhance and improve the delivery of patient care services, such as Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) teams, as assigned by Section Chief and or Chief of Medical Service.
* Provides quality patient-centered patient care to both inpatients and outpatients for adults age 18-65 and older adults age 65+ as assigned by Chief, Medical Service.
* Demonstrate sound decision-making skills, both clinical and administrative, which bring credit to the profession and serve to enhance the distinctive and contributory role of physicians.
* Serves as staff attending for sub-specialty consult service as assigned.
* Exhibits leadership in initiating changes in patient care programs based on current concepts and finding from research and studies. Keeps informed of developments in the management and treatment of diseases and illness through continuing medical education, both formal and informal.
* Consistently demonstrates expertise in diagnosing and treating seriously ill, multi-symptomatic patients when clinical assignments so dictate.
* Completes all medical record documentation, encounters and trainee supervision attestations in the electronic medical record within prescribed timeframes.
* Plans implements, and evaluates care based on age specific requirements of the patient.
* Participates in the formal education of the residents, fellows and medical students by presenting teaching rounds, lectures, conferences, etc.
* Demonstrates and trains medical Students, Residents, and Fellows in medical procedures that are required to provide optimal patient care appropriate to their expertise.

Responsibilities:

Job Overview

The Department of Family and Community Medicine is recruiting an Assistant Professor of Clinical to provide clinical and precepting services in The Family Medicine Center (FMC) at The Christ Hospital (TCH) and ambulatory primary care at a Cincinnati Health Department site. The physician will serve as Residency Faculty for the TCH/UC family medicine residency. They will have teaching responsibilities including teaching principles of osteopathic manipulative medicine, supervising and teaching osteopathic and allopathic residents osteopathic manipulative treatment within the FMC, and providing care and Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT) for patients whose medical home is the FMC.
Residency faculty report to the Program Director of The Christ Hospital-University of Cincinnati Family Medicine Residency. Direct supervision for time in the FMC will be provided by the FMC Medical Director. Direct supervision for the time at the Cincinnati Health Department (CHD) will be provided by the CHD Medical Director.
Essential Functions
Teaching:
* Provide hands-on OMT instruction in both didactic and clinical settings.
* Mentor osteopathic and allopathic residents in the principles and techniques of osteopathic medicine.
* Contribute to the development and improvement of the residency's OMT curriculum, including workshops, lectures, patient care teaching, and longitudinal integration of OMT principles.
* Work toward meeting requirements for osteopathic recognition and ensure compliance with Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)/ American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (ACOFP) educational standards.
* Work one-on-one with medical students and/or family medicine residents to teach and model ambulatory primary care.
Clinical Care:
* Provide direct patient care with a focus on OMT in a family medicine outpatient setting.
* Re-establish and maintain an OMT referral clinic within the FMC, serving patients across the lifespan for musculoskeletal and somatic dysfunction concerns.
* Provide primary care at a branch of the Cincinnati Health Department, including managing a primary care patient population and meeting quality of care standards.
* Collaborate with interprofessional colleagues to promote holistic, evidence-based care.
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the clinical site(s).
* Serve on health system committees as needed.
* Attend weekly practice meeting for the FMC.
Scholarship:
* All faculty are expected to contribute to scholarship, including any of the following: curriculum development; research; regional and national presentations; publications; peer review.
Minimum Requirements
* DO degree from an accredited College of Osteopathic Medicine.
* Unrestricted Ohio Medical License and DEA license.
* Completion of three-year Family Medicine residency program.
* Board-certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) or the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians (AOBFP). Board eligible applicants may apply, but full certification required prior to start date.
Additional Qualifications Considered
* Demonstrated proficiency in a broad range of OMT techniques.
* Prior teaching experience ideal but not required.
* Strong commitment to teaching, mentorship, and academic medicine through:
* Developing teacher-learner relationships with residents from R1 through R5 year of training and medical students MS1-4.

The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant functions within the collaborative agreement arranged with Physician. The APP will work autonomously and in collaboration with the Physicians within a Standard Care Arrangement (SCA) or Supervision Agreement (SA) to diagnose, treat, and manage individuals or population of patients. APPs can serve as healthcare resource providers, patient advocates and interdisciplinary consultant with the Health Care Team.
This position primarily involves providing overnight in-house call coverage for the Trauma, Surgical ICU, General Surgery, and Vascular Surgery services. The schedule includes 7 shifts every 2 weeks, with 12-hour shifts from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM, and will involve weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities include:
Responding to level II and level I trauma activations, conducting emergent consultations for trauma, general surgery, and vascular surgery
Admitting the above listed surgical patients requiring inpatient care
After appropriate training in completed, performing bedside procedures such as suturing, I&D, line placement, chest tube placement, and assisting in the operating room as needed.
Addressing urgent overnight floor calls and coordinating care with the attending physician on duty.
Precepting/providing education to students rotating on service as needed.
Demonstrate clinical competency and accountability in care for patients as identified in unit's Scope of Care
Acts as a mentor/role model for staff as well as a resource person for nurses, medical assistants, and/or other ancillary staff.
Maintains professional standards of attendance, appearance, demeanor, and company values. Assumes responsibility and accountability of own actions, seeks out supervision as necessary
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program or Physician Assistant Program; Master's Degree in appropriate field
Certifications/Licensure:
State of Ohio Licensure-Nurse Practitioner/Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant
