About the Position

Location/Travel: This position will require 100% travel to assigned worksites across the United States. Current work location, Pryor and Muskogee, OK. Applicants must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license. Per diem and mileage stipends applicable per company policy.
Work Schedule: Start times, break times and work hours vary per site and stage of our projects. Our employees work more than 40 hours per week but no more than 60, as part of our commitment to safety. Due to the type of construction, weekend work maybe required on occasion.

Role Overview : We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Order Fulfillment Associate to support our warehouse operations. The primary responsibility of this role is to accurately pick items from stock based on bills of materials (BOMs) or customer orders. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:

1. Order Picking:
Review bills of materials (BOMs) or customer orders to determine items to be picked.
Locate and retrieve items from designated stock locations within the warehouse.

Update inventory records to reflect items picked from stock.
Report any discrepancies or stock shortages to the appropriate personnel.
Assist in conducting periodic inventory counts as needed.
3. Packaging and Labeling:
Prepare picked items for shipment by packaging them according to company standards.
Affix shipping labels and other required documentation to packaged items.
4. Quality Assurance:
Inspect picked items for any defects or damage before packaging.
Report any quality issues to the supervisor or quality control team.
5. Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Comply with company policies and procedures, including those related to inventory management and warehouse operations.
Qualifications:

Swaim Serum Co. originated in the 1940s when the Swaim family opened a store in the retail market. It wasn't until the 1990s that the Swaim family expanded into the veterinary industry. Swaim Serum Co. has been servicing the Oklahoma City and surrounding areas since then and have many long-time clients who travel to see us!
We are a multi-doctor practice located in the heart of Oklahoma City. Our newly renovated hospital now houses 8 exam rooms and plenty of space to do multiple procedures at a time. We have a variety of skill levels in the practice that helps cultivate a very dynamic, collaborative environment. Our primary focus is Small Animal Preventative Medicine but we do see a high volume of Internal Medicine cases.

Heartland Veterinary Partners' Externship Program works to provide 1st-4th year veterinary students with hands-on experience and mentorship to help have them 'practice ready' by their first day in practice.
Externships are typically 2 weeks long and Heartland will cover the cost of lodging if needed.
Length of externship is flexible & we can support your preceptorship documentation as well.
