Press Operator - Level 2 performs duties to assist the Cell/Shift Leader in managing the Cell to ensure daily production runs smoothly and efficiently in their assigned area. Essential Duties and Responsibilities · Monitor press operators to ensure Operator Instructions or OQI's are being followed and notify Shift Leader if an operator appears to require additional training. · Perform 4 Press Checks per shift. The first Press check is to be completed within 30 minutes of the beginning of the shift. The remaining 3 checks will typically be before breaking the press. Second shift may schedule the remaining 3 breaks evenly over their shift. · Visually inspect parts to ensure they meet customer requirements and are packaged, and labels are correct and scanned correctly.
