The platform guides a host through all of the steps of planning a party and solves common problems along the way. Its party planning features include customizable digital invitations, potluck organization, gift registries, local vendor search, RSVP management, party supplies, photo and video sharing, and much more. Punchbowl has made setting a date much easier through the help of an algorithm that recommends the best date for its clients' party. Invitees are sent a "Date Decider" email through its platform, allowing them to select the best date from a set of dates supplied by the host. Punchbowl also allows clients to set up message boards and integrate Google Maps' to display the location. After the party's over, Punchbowl lets clients create an after-party message board where attendees can share comments, photos, and videos. Founded by software and user interface professionals Matt Douglas and Sean Conta , the company is located in Framingham, M.A. and is backed by Contour Venture Partners and Intel Capital.
