The Company:
This company manages the entire chemical life cycle for the plant. All the chemicals that FCA uses throughout the day is managed through this company. They are responsible for the inventory, compliance, and disposal.
Main Job Duties:
All purchasing-related activities including creating and placing purchase orders and receipt entry.
Managing inventory and order flow.
Provides technical support including preventive maintenance, problem identification and resolution, and maximization of material use.
Works with internal customers, working on-site to create process efficiencies; identifies cost-saving opportunities and sets goals for achievement.
Understands customers' material use in manufacturing processes and provides appropriate recommendations for coolants, lubricants, cleaners, and other applicable materials.
Research product information from suppliers, manufacturers, internet, and reference sources.
Works with EHS Departments to ensure compliance with all regulatory and environmental standards.
Makes presentations to internal/external management and personnel, communicating test findings and offering appropriate recommendations on processes.

PPCCC is a trusted provider of high-quality, affordable reproductive health care along California's Central Coast. Each year, PPCCC provides 35,000 people on the central coast with health care services; including sexually transmitted infection testing and treatment, birth control, breast and cervical cancer screenings, vasectomies, and safe and legal abortion care at our six health center locations. PPCCC also provides comprehensive sexuality education programs to help adults and teens make healthy decisions, prevent unintended pregnancies, and avoid sexually transmitted infection.
Supports affiliate-wide purchasing with an emphasis on purchasing of health center supplies, medications and medical equipment, office supplies, and Amazon purchases.
Serves as liaison between Finance and Clinical Services monitors budget for medical supplies, ensures inventories are accurate, and maintains purchasing system with regular updates.
Hourly/Full-Time (32 hours/week) - Hybrid
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Coordinate affiliate-wide purchases and creates purchase orders as needed for all medical supplies to find the highest-quality items for the lowest price.
Review all purchases for final approval and submits them to the vendor.
Collaborate with CDs and the Director of Finance to monitor and maintain inventory levels.
Facilitate special orders when appropriate to ensure inventory is fully stocked.
Ensure on-time delivery of supplies and facilitate returns when appropriate.
Collaborates with CFO, Vice Presidents, and others to track and negotiate new contracts with existing and new vendors.
Administrator for Amazon account and office supplies accounts for the organization.
Manage relationships with existing vendors and locate new vendors as needed.
Maintain a list of currently purchased health center inventory items.
Serve as administrator of purchasing and related systems.
Provide reporting from purchasing software for Center Directors and Finance Department.
Other duties as assigned by Chief Financial Officer
QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to communicate effectively with staff, patients, volunteers, and external partners.
Accuracy and attention to detail are essential.
Administrative, clerical, and organizational skills are desirable.
Availability to work flexible hours and travel within three-county region as necessary.
