    Job Description THE ROLE: The Director of Purchasing will be a pivotal leadership role responsible for the overall strategy, management, and execution of all purchasing activities for our projects. This individual will lead a team of purchasing professionals, manage key supplier relationships, and implement best practices to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and mitigate supply chain risk. The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in residential construction materials, contracting, and vendor management. DAY IN THE LIFE: Oversee members of the purchasing department to source, bid, buy out projects ensuring on time and on budget deliveries. Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with trade partners, suppliers, and vendors. Attend Trade partner events to maintain relationships and expand the bid list. Oversee the team responsible for negotiating and contracting Foundation & Frame, MEPS & Energy Modeling, and Exterior Shell trade categories. WHAT YOU'LL NEED: Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 8+ years of progressive experience in purchasing or procurement, with at least 3 years in a leadership/Director role within the residential construction industry (single-family or multi-family). Deep knowledge of residential construction materials, building codes, plans, and specifications.
