    Job DescriptionDescription: This position is responsible for assisting in purchasing equipment, tools, parts, supplies or services necessary for the operation of the organization. Purchases raw or semi-finished materials for manufacturing. Compiles and maintains records of business transactions and office activities of establishment by performing the following duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Maintains Purchasing section of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) System Expertise in ERP systems. Purchases supplies. Data enters all purchase orders. Calls, faxes, or mails vendors all new purchase orders. Assists other departments when it is required. Reviews requisitions. Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule. Prepares purchase orders or bid requests. Receives and contacts vendors to find out status of an order. Contacts vendors with discrepancies with quantity and quality. Requirements: EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. SUPERVISORY: Supervises one purchasing specialist. COMPUTER SKILLS: MS Office, ERP System, MRP system OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: § Requires good critical thinking and people skills. § Knowledge of office software, organizational abilities, and strong attention to detail § A proven history of success that includes administrative management, facilities, creative problem-solving and business partner experience is desired. § Have excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills. Must have a professional, outgoing, guest-service oriented manner. Ability to interact with a variety of people and remain calm and professional in stressful situations. Must be friendly, courteous, service-oriented, and flexible and enjoy working with a variety of staff. Must be detail-oriented and work effectively under pressure while meeting all applicable deadlines. Must be able to work independently and productively with minimum supervision; work well under pressure; able to manage multiple projects. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Use of safety glasses and steel toed shoes required. Knowledgeable of the ISO 9001-2015 requirements and changes. Strong knowledge of automotive parts and how they work.

    Responsible for all activities related to the recovery of tissues and corneas for transplantation. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS TISSUE RECOVERY Basic knowledge of medical terminology, general anatomy, and disease processes. Ability to maintain an aseptic environment. Skill in using operating room equipment and recovery instrumentation. Ability to effectively perform all aspects of the tissue and cornea recovery process. Responsible for duties associated with maintaining the Recovery Suite including, but not limited to: cleaning, inventory control, receiving deliveries, etc. Basic knowledge of federal, state and industry laws/regulations related to tissue practices including those of all tissue processors, AATB, OSHA, EBAA and FDA. Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with internal MTN staff, hospital staff, processing partners, funeral homes and others involved in the donation process. Ability to conduct appropriate face-to-face interactions with donor families, if needed. Basic knowledge of the inter-relationships of departments and services provided by MTN. Skill in time management and team coordination. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS Associates degree in biological sciences or allied health, or equivalent knowledge and skill required. Bachelor's degree preferred. A minimum of one-year related work experience required. Preferred work experience in a medical or mortuary setting including: Surgical Technologist, EMT-P, Embalmer, Emergency Room Technician, Autopsy Technician, or RN. Ability to work a minimum of 36 hours per week, and 12 hour call every other Saturday, participate in rotation holiday on call schedule, and may be required to assist with on-call department coverage. Required to work and remain standing for extended periods of time with few breaks. Must maintain a valid driver's license in accordance with MTN motor vehicle policy. Must have reliable personal automobile transportation to be used with company reimbursement using IRS guidelines. Must be able to travel within the service area by ground or air. Excellent organization and time management skills; ability to function independently and collaboratively; demonstrated problem-solving and creative thinking skills and well-developed personal stress management skills. Ability to independently lift, move and transfer up to 50 pounds and up to 75 pounds with assistance over short distances. Possess good fine and gross motor dexterity to support the frequent handling and use of surgical instruments during recovery tasks. Possess the ability to operate telephones, computers and surgical equipment. Ability to speak and communicate clearly in order to accurately convey information to donor families, hospital staff and transplant/procurement personnel in person or by phone. OSHA Category I - Exposed regularly to bloodborne pathogens while performing assigned job duties. Bloodborne pathogens protection is required. Home internet and wireless phone access may be required.
