The Specifics of the Role Serve as primary/initial contact to key suppliers and trade partners on projects. Work closely with accounting to establish and manage a schedule of values for progress billing. Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers on project schedules. Build relationships with key suppliers and trade partners. Prequalify new suppliers and subcontractors. Identify opportunities for change orders and establish cost where applicable. Prepare, issue and track change order status for material above and beyond the original contract. Develop and negotiate purchase orders on new jobs to ensure the scope of work is consistent with the estimate and design specifications Minimize job site and schedule problems wherever possible and minimize cost impact of potential back charges. Support preconstruction team in proposal phase of projects. Ensure department achieves goals through management and leadership mentality. Requirements Bachelors Degree in Construction Management or Engineering discipline preferred. 5+ years of experience. Ability to identify, assimilate and comprehend the critical elements of a situation to extract and interpret implications of courses of actions to attend to details of a problem. This role is eligible for relocation. **What You Will Do** + Drive performance of the supply chain to meet or exceed quality, delivery and cost targets. + Manage productivity and efficiency, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. + Support business SIOP by analyzing data to identify trends, risks and impact to the organization. Reducing the risk through root cause analysis and corrective actions. + Managing and leading a team to support supply chain activities supporting the Oxygen Value Stream + Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Program Management, Engineering, and Production Operations to resolve constraints and enable production success + Developing and implementing strategies to mitigate supply chain risks and address issues related to supplier on-time delivery + Manages execution of processes, standards, and operational plans in support of Procurement/MRP strategy, including RFPs, negotiation strategy, cost accountability, program execution, inventory management. + May perform delivery assurance responsibilities and serve as escalation point for resolving delivery issues with suppliers + Authorizes purchase orders, negotiates prices and approves payments to support the procurement process + Support and engage with various functional areas as part of an Integrated Project Team (IPT) to resolve supply chain issues and serve as supply chain SME for other functional areas + Ensure implementation and execution of corporate supply chain tools + Lead projects to enhance Supply Chain performance and continuous improvement. + Serve as supply chain lead for responding to internal and external audits regarding supply chain policies and procedures + Lead multiple complex projects simultaneously + Any other reasonable duties as required **Qualifications You Must Have** + Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience + Experience in procurement + Previous history managing employees + Proficient ERP experience, SAP highly preferred + Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.) Preferred + Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English).
