About the role The Procurement Manager will lead the management of supplies and services to key sites supporting a multi-plant environment; and provide functional guidance to sourcing professionals supporting those locations. Your role will span strategic, tactical, and transactional supply management activities. Key spend categories include Mechanical Parts, Large Equipment, MRO, Contractor Services, Temp Labor, among others. You will be required to work closely with the facility construction teams to innovate and improve processes. You will also be called upon to contribute to the broader supply management agenda - demonstrating the right values and behaviors with high emotional intelligence in working with a disbursed stakeholder base. The base salary range for this location is: $120,000- $145,000 Areas of Responsibilities: Deliver procurement's contribution to engineering and construction of new plants, and capital projects at existing facilities Develop actionable procurement and project plans to optimize the company's spend. Key spend categories include Mechanical Parts, MRO, Contractor Services, Temp Labor, among others. Drive robust P2P processes using continuous improvement (CI) methodologies and technology to improve information flow and velocity Support the Global Sourcing Initiative to achieve a step change in demand placed with “low-cost country sources” / high value regions of the world (mainly Asia in the near term). Effectively manage supplier relationships to optimize service, quality, and cost Track and manage procurement KPIs that progress the function to achieve “world class” excellence Ensure savings initiatives spanning cost reduction, cost avoidance, revenue enhancement, rebates, working capital, etc. are accurately documented, reviewed, reported and transferred to the annual operating budgets and long-term strategic plans Direct process improvement initiatives - institute best practices guided by an effective change management process (MoC) Position Requirements: Self-directed, action-oriented, forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards Effective management of remote teams Dynamic leader with a record of achieving results individually and through others Demonstrated experience in, and strong ability to, manage both materials and services suppliers and contracts Strong negotiation skills, analytical ability, good judgment and strong operational focus Developed intellectual capacity, strategy skills and sales ability Ability to work cross functionally with peers and other business leaders Ability to manage multiple projects, concurrently, and build consensus Organized, team player who is an effective influencer Demonstrated ability to lead change in the face of adversity; to challenge the status quo constructively Articulate communicator both verbal and written Education: Minimum Bachelor's degree; preferably Supply Chain, Finance, or technical discipline Experience: 5 to 10 years of procurement and supply management experience within a complex, global and technology driven organization Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Significant strength in negotiation with demonstrated success in negotiating beneficial contracts Experience with eRFx / Reverse Auctions with a variety commodities, products and services, including knowledge of the process and software used Knowledge of PeopleSoft ERP (or SAP) and Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) Accomplished in managing to, and reporting, key performance indicators (KPIs) Solid understanding of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) modeling, contracts, and change management Travel: 20 to 25% Location: Near a major transportation hub on the eastern half of the US. The MRO (Maintenance Repair and Operations) Category Sourcing Manager will guide the selection, development and management of suppliers to meet category cost and performance goals. Negotiate contractual agreements to ensure that service, quality and total costs are secured. Provide category oversight and seek cost savings. The focus of this position will be to run an RFP (Request for Bid) for the US MRO Category.
