We are seeking a reliable, detailoriented Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our afternoon shift team, 3PM-11PM. In this role, you'll play a critical part in keeping materials moving efficiently through our facility by coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and supporting smooth production flow.

Key Responsibilities
Schedule and communicate with carriers for inbound and outbound freight
Receive, unload, and accurately store materials into inventory
Stage materials and machines for workinprocess and ensure accurate system transactions
Prepare outbound shipments and load trucks to meet delivery schedules
Generate and process shipping and receiving paperwork, including bills of lading and export documentation
Ensure proper receipt of coils and materials into the computer system
Coordinate shipping and receiving activities with internal departments
Issue tools and production components and maintain required logbooks
Train and support other Shipping & Receiving team members
Follow all safety procedures and standards
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience
Experience with inventory control and material handling preferred
Forklift and Overhead Crane experience required (certification a plus)
Working knowledge of PC applications and Windows operating systems (Oracle experience helpful but trainable)
Familiarity with shipping documentation and system transactions
Ability to collaborate across departments such as production, purchasing, and maintenance
Strong organization, time management, and communication skills
Must pass pre-employment drug test and background check.
Dependable transportation to the facility door entrance is required. Public transportation and/or walking are not options due to safety regulations.

Summary description:
Load/unload trucks, verifying accuracy of manifests, packing lists, or orders against parts and count of pieces.
Ensure all outgoing materials are appropriately and accurately marked.
Use appropriate material handling equipment to transfer material from work station to work station.
Maintain holding and storage areas in a neat and organized fashion.
Pack, seal, and label, and prepare materials for shipping as directed.
Complete required paperwork.
Comply with all safety and work rules.
Skills/Qualifications:
Accuracy and attention to detail
Good measuring and math skills
Tow motor experience with the ability to pass company certification
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Walking and standing up to 10 hours per day, ability to stoop, bend, kneel, reach, pull, and frequently lift up to 75-100 pounds, and other physical labor requirements that coincide with assigned job duties.

Receiving Clerk - Overport

Dis-Chem Pharmacies' requires a Receiving Clerk for their Overport store.You will ensure the efficient and accurate receiving and packing of stock in line with Dis-Chem's SOPs and requirements, and customer needs within the store. Minimum Requirements:
Essential:
* Grade 12 / Matric
* Computer literate
* Sound numerical skills
* Willing and able to work retail hours
Advantageous:
* Previous receiving / retail / FMCG experience
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Accurately verify, scan and capture physical goods received for the store, in accordance with company policy and standard operating procedures
* Receive all warehouse goods and invoices in accordance with company policy and procedures
* Return all unordered or damaged goods delivered to the store and accurately complete credit notes for non-acceptance in accordance with company policy and SOPs
* Verify and check deliveries and invoices for total accuracy
* Ensure goods delivered are the goods invoiced and captured in terms of quantities, variant and condition
* Assist the Receiving Manager in preparing and logging warehouse claims on the warehouse claims system
* Ensure the flow of stock receipts through receiving is maintained, that deliveries arriving are receipted the same day and sent to the floor
* Process all returns to suppliers in compliance with company SOPs
* Ensure all physical controls over the goods receiving area are in place and operational
* Maintain storerooms are in an acceptable and orderly condition
* Assist in managing and controlling high-risk stock
Competencies:
Essential:
* Knowledge of receiving operating procedures, administration
* Strong command of the English language
* Effective interaction with suppliers, management, reps and staff
* Sound analytical skills
* Time management
* Heavy lifting + 20kg
Advantageous:
* Bilingual
* Operating of the stock rotating system
