THE ROLE
Pure Storage is looking for an operationally strong, mature and highly motivated District Manager who can build and lead a team of focused account executives in Georgia. Responsibilities include recruiting direct (Account Executive) and aligned (PreSales Engineer) reporting roles, accurate forecasting, Account Executive development, territory planning, and extensive channel partner relationship development. WHAT YOU'LL DO

Provide leadership to the extended Pure Storage team aligned to your district (SEs, Channel Managers, Inside Sales reps, etc.).
Closely manage and enable the team's performance related to KPIs including pipeline growth, partner team alignment, forecast accuracy, POC management. At all times maintain a 4X pipeline to goal.
Recruit, develop and maintain strong relationships with channel partner principals, AEs and leadership teams.
Drive sales call activity and lead by example. Ensure that each member of the team attains or over-achieves quota.
Significant field travel expected.
Deliver business results which include annual bookings goal, new logo production and AE participation at or above goal.
Weekly review of activities, pipeline and if pipeline insufficient to deliver plan.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills required.
Performance management of the team.
WHAT YOU BRING
8+ years successful field sales management experience in storage or core Information Technology infrastructure in a highly competitive environment.
Experience selling to IT departments and IT management is required.
Passionate and persuasive. Excellent verbal communication skills.
Proven track record of recruitment and associate development.
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to clearly and effectively articulate Pure Storage's value.
Must be organized, detail and process oriented.

Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations.

Schedule and attend sales call appointments with a prospect in a partner organization. Nutanix Channel Partner Representatives may also participate in the sales call to help qualify the opportunity.
Respond to RFP's and follow up with prospects.
Recommend marketing strategies.

What You Will BringEssential to success in this role is a keen ability to develop new accounts and to penetrate new divisions and organizations within your assigned accounts. Be the domain authority on Palo Alto Networks products to help Systems Engineers with information on competitive questions
Identify Sales challenges based on any competitive situations and provide solutions
Document technical concepts to ensure our products are well understood and utilized to the greatest extent possible
Setup and maintain a competitive test lab including test harness, competitive products, automation environment, etc
Configure and test competitive products, evaluate product strengths for security efficacy, product features, etc
Work with marketing to develop collaterals with battle cards, presentations, and white papers
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of experience as a Technical Marketing Engineer for network/cybersecurity area or a DevOps/Solution Architect, preferably for networking or security products
Experience and domain knowledge of hardware platforms, architectures and deployment models.
Experience and Good domain knowledge with cloud-based deployments (AWS/Azure/GCP at least one of the public cloud experience preferred)
Good understanding of KVM, VMware, and other Virtualization technologies and Container security.
Experience with scripting languages such as python, CFT, and Terraform is highly desired
Experience to set up a lab environment
Knowledge in building and maintaining POC & Demo environments
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong presentation skills and trade show experience
Eagerness to learn new technologies, experiment with products and collaborate cross-functionally
Strong customer advocacy skills and experience, ability to work in difficult customer situations
Work towards getting things done, Fast learner with strong initiative and sense of ownership
Experience using vulnerability scanning tools, crafting attacks with tools like Metasploit, Burpsuite, etc
Deep understanding of network and application security threats, attack techniques, and mitigation options
Experience in automation tools, building dashboards, etc
Thorough understanding of general networking and configuring routers, switches, etc
Experience with writing and editing technical documentation and operational procedures
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Compensation Disclosure
The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $159000/YR - $255000/YR. The Solutions Consultant Manager is the evolution of the traditional Sales Engineer Manager role, aligning how we lead teams to best serve our customers in understanding their environment, providing solution guidance and ensuring value realization in their investment with Palo Alto Networks.
As our Solutions Consultant Manager, you are the technical leader for your District Solutions Consulting team. You will work closely with the District Sales Manager and, along with your team, build relationships with your customers with the goal of helping them detect and prevent advanced cyberattacks and breaches. Our customers need guidance on what applications to deploy from our platform. Your guidance, expertise, and mentorship of your team will keep them ahead of the latest cyberthreats and stay on the leading edge of prevention.
As the technical leader for your assigned territory, you will guide and develop your team to define innovative technical solutions that secure customers' key business imperatives and maximize the value of their investment with Palo Alto Networks. You will champion our industry leadership in on-premises, cloud, and security operations services, establishing Palo Alto Networks as the preferred cybersecurity partner for your customers. You will also nurture talent within your team and provide valuable feedback to the product management team on new feature requests and product improvements based on insights gained from your customer interaction. Your team will play a key role in defining technical solutions that secure a customer's key business imperatives and ensuring value realization of their investment with Palo Alto Networks.
Your Impact
* Recruit and hire new Solutions Consultants into the territory, hiring the best talent in the industry
* Responsible for training, mentoring, and reviewing employees on your team, keeping them engaged and successful in their careers
* Support field Solutions Consultant team in complex evaluations, problem-solving and challenging customer environments
* Leads and coaches team on successful technical validation efforts based on best practices to ensure technical win in assigned opportunities.
* Define, create and monitor individual development plans for your team
* Works closely with Professional Services, Customer Success and Specialist teams to ensure overall customer implementation and adoption of solutions.
* Provide effective technical leadership in customer interactions to include sharing security trends and standard methodologies employed by other customers to actively be part of the selling process
* Drive Palo Alto Networks Platformization efforts within your accounts.
* Work closely with the Domain Specialist Manager to ensure optimal use of resources and align the required resources to the projects you are handling
* Act as an escalation point to collaborate with pre-sales and post-sales teams for any issues that arise
* Build and maintain relationships with key customers to solidify reference accounts and to assist the account teams with defining plans to drive more business
* Present to customers as our expert in your area at all levels in the customer hierarchy from technician to CIO
* Discuss competitor products in the marketplace and positions ours as the best alternative
* Working with Product Management, Technical Marketing, and R&D to build requirements and product features for our large customers and provide feedback from customers
* 50-75% travel within the region
* Work with your sales counterpart (DSM) to develop a technical strategy that accelerates growth. Identify key verticals, markets, use cases, and solutions to focus on, and devise a comprehensive strategy and engagement model tailored to your region or district.

Your Experience
* Experience as a pre-sales System Engineer Manager
* Experience as a Senior System Engineer/Specialist
* Industry knowledge of security product market trends and directional awareness of our roadmap and technology development efforts, knowledge of competitor offerings and products
* Knowledge of how to deliver comprehensive security solutions to Palo Alto Networks customer base
* Experience in selling, designing, implementing or managing one or more of the following solutions: Network Security, SASE, SaaS, CNAPP and/or SOC Transformation Technologies
* Partnering with Customer Support functions to ensure successful implementation and adoption of sold solutions
* Strong communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills
* Quota driven attitude focused on client's best solution by being a trusted advisor
* Proficient in English

Compensation Disclosure
