1982 The first sales hire, an independent representative, was brought on to help sell the product line.
1987 Purolite purchased the G Street location and expanded the facility in Philadelphia, PA to produce cation resins, make mixed beds and powdered resin.
1989 The new and improved G Street factory was rebuilt to be a state-of-the-art cation manufacturing and the demand for Purolite’s product grew.
1991 Opened Canada sales office.
1992 Purolite began negotiations to establish a manufacturing site under the name Virolite Functional Partners, a joint venture between Viromet SA, a majority State-owned Romanian Chemical Company and Purolite Limited.
1997 Opened Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine and Taiwan sales offices.
1999 Opened São Paulo, Brazil sales office.
2003 Opened Uzbekistan, Tashkent sales offices.
The facility obtained FDA approval to start production of API. 2004 Opened Japan sales office.
2007 Opened the Centre of Excellence in the Wales.
2009 Opened Maharashtra, India sales office as well as a sales office, technical service and warehouse facility Estado de México, Mexico.
2011 Opened Kyoto laboratory and Krasnoyark, Russia sales office.

2016 Clean room 3 commissioned in Romania.
2017 Clean room 4 was commissioned in Romania to make specialty high tech polymers for Lifetech.
2018 Agarose facility in Wales, UK opened making Purolite the second largest agarose manufacturer in the world. $10MM upgrade to waste treatment plant in China.
