Danny Shader
Handle Financial

Danny Shader is the founder and CEO of PayNearMe, the world's only real-time electronic cash transaction network. PayNearMe is used by financial institutions, utilities companies, property managers and other businesses to digitize cash collections and eliminate the hassle of manual collection methods such as money orders. The service allows consumers who need to use or prefer cash, to easily make payments at over 17,000 retail locations including 7-Eleven and Family Dollar stores using cash. Danny has a long history of building innovative, high-growth companies. In 2000, he was tapped by Eric Hahn to lead Good Technology, a struggling company that made MP3 players that attached to PDAs. He scrapped the hardware plan, built a corporate messaging service to run on devices competing with BlackBerry, and by 2004, had Good’s software running on Palm Treo, RIM’s main competitor. Three years later, Motorola bought Good for $500 million. Before Good Technology, Danny co-founded Accept.com, the first consumer-to-consumer payment services company, which he sold to Amazon in 1999 for $175 million. Danny holds an engineering degree from University of California Berkeley and an MBA from Stanford University. Follow him on Twitter at @dshader.
