Based on 10 ratings
The amazing clients and most of your immediate coworkers.
Cliquish and unavailable leadership that is paid above industry standards. No monetary incentives for PD or continuing education, and the overall benefits are subpar. High stress with unrealistic expectations with little to no recognition. Staff is expected to cover minor client related expenses out of pocket.
The clients
I have never met the CEO as he is never around. Leadership only engages to criticize or reprimand.
Pay people what they are worth and like you value them. End the “leadership is an exclusive club” vibe.

If you are considering employment with Pyramid York, here are some things you’ll want to keep in mind: * What leadership is looking for in a good staff member is compliance and meek submission - someone who doesn't ask questions * There is no place for feedback, suggestions, or constructive criticism * Humble servitude is rewarded with you being ignored, but thankfully it will spare you reprimand because you won’t be on leadership’s radar, so being ignored is what is actually preferable! * Training relates primarily to liability concerns - everything else you’ll learn when you’re thrown on the floor to fend for yourself * Work/life balance is a joke - you will go home primarily to sleep, and hopefully you’re single, because you will exist as if you are * Make sure to give 200% of yourself 100% of the time. And even then, it isn’t enough - it is never enough * Leadership picks and chooses which policies to enforce with staff - it all depends on if they like you or not (chances are, they won’t) * The policies provided to clients for staff to enforce are arbitrarily backed up by leadership. Again, it depends on the staff member. Leadership will back some staff members, but not back others. Clients are quick to pick up on which staff members they can break rules with and which they cannot, and word will spread quickly. This begs the question: what is the point of facility policies if leadership will not provide consistency in enforcing consequences for violations of those policies? * Leadership’s motto: “Do As I Say, Not As I Do” * Favoritism is rampant - either you’re “in” or you’re not (chances are you’re not - leadership is very cliquey) * Staff can and do relapse (on contraband both out and IN the workplace), and leadership will watch it happen, say and do nothing, then act surprised when that staff member no longer comes to work. They say they’ll support you and hold your job, then do neither. * While you will be ignored and denied any and all praise, you can expect to be under a microscope and to have any and all faults, imagined or otherwise, magnified, and for those you’ll be called to the carpet - brought in for a meeting with the three head honchos, during which one of them will speak at you in Counselor-ese while the other two, bored to tears, stare at the walls, the carpet, or each other. * Clients aren’t people to help - they are policy numbers that represent profits - the more humans in beds, the more dollars in their wallets
Start by dismantling the entire leadership team and rebuilding it.
I brought myself.
It's terrible. As a second-shift BHT I made $14/hour. First-shift BHTs earned $13, and third-shift BHTs were compensated with $15/hour. Are you serious?!
It was sufficient.
Helping clients - that was all that kept me there for as long as I managed to hang on.
There is so much growth potential at Pyramid Healthcare. This can be seen by from site level to Executive leadership level.
The pay is typically below normal and the benefits as of recently are not the best.
The culture of the sites, the well rounded people we work with. Compassion and dedication is recognized and allows opportunity for professional growth.
Going home
Stressful, poorly managed, run down buildings, most staff is under qualified and doesn’t work, below average pay, sub par benefits, unprofessional
Going home
Going home so I don’t have to deal with them.
Start some culture. There currently isn’t any.
I showed up. Truthfully they were just glad to have someone interested. Now I see why.
Well below the average
They seem to be diverse.
Leaving at the end of the day
Getting to know the clients, and seeing the positive change in them as they start on their recovery journey.
It is a revolving door with staff, coworkers do not stay most only last 6 months. Some may stay longer but for the most part in & out. The staff will come in learn the basics and leave to go somewhere else and make more money.
Free meals, if you have the time to eat.
Manager is always trying to do their best. But you still feel like no one cares when you look at the bigger picture.
Of course pay more, be consistent. Why should you come to work on time and follow your schedule, when some of the same coworkers are always late, call out, no show and nothing happens because they are so short staff they just keep letting them do it.
Knowing that you are helping someone in need.
I feel like it changes over time, give it 6 months and you could have all new employees
Lower, that is why they can not keep people.
Decent medical benefits if you pay for the high end plan.
Reckless, dangerous understaffing.
Interaction with clients
Dirty work environment, starving clients to save money, low salary for amount of stress job requires
Going home
Interaction with clients , became very close and it was easy to make a difference.
Poor work environment and the inability to self disclose that you're an addict.
