The opportunity

What will you do?
Sets up tables for function in accordance with banquet event order
Accurately transports food and beverages to guests in a timely manner
Performs necessary tasks to service guests including: taking and filling drink orders, providing refills, answering questions, and clearing of dirty dishes
Serves alcoholic beverages responsibly, requests identification, adheres to all unit and company alcohol service policies and procedures.
Monitors guest needs on a continual basis ensuring all requests are promptly fulfilled; handles any guest complaints
Replenishes food on buffet lines (if applicable)
Maintains a safe and clean environment for guests and fellow team members
Breaks down event according to company procedures
More about you
Must be 18 or older
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hotel, full-service restaurant, catering facility, or club environment
Excellent guest service skills
Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills, including listening skills and ability to take food and beverage orders and fill those orders correctly
No high school diploma or GED required

To provide housekeeping services to all guest rooms according to Langham standards. To provide exceptional quality housekeeping services to enhance the overall guest experience by engaging with guests whenever one is in sight.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB DUTIES:
Clean bathtub, toilet, sink, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, and floor surfaces using cloths, mops sponges, brushes, and/or cleaning agents by extending arms over head, bending and stooping.
Strip and make beds, changing bed linens, which may require lifting bedspreads
weighing a maximum of 40 lbs.
Must respond quickly and efficiently to all guest requests.
Makes up rollaway beds and cribs in a vacated room and notifies housekeeping attendants for them to be properly stored.
Properly uses, keeps secure and returns the pass key or section master to the Housekeeping Office or Security at the end of every shift. Keeps room key on person at all times while at work.
Keeps Housekeeping storage areas and butler pantries neat and secure.
Dust all furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges, and shelves thoroughly.
Push and pull vacuum throughout entire room and empty trash
Replenish amenities, linens, and supplies in guest room.
Practices chemical safety rules and follows procedures for needles and other hazardous materials.
Ensures all collateral in room looks brand new.
Sign for room keys and restock supply bags. Visually inspect room for cleanliness and appearance and signify completion for room.
Respond in a timely manner to guest requests for items such as an iron, safety instructions, assistance, direction, and/or other information as requested.
Report all suspicious persons, activities or hazardous conditions to the Security Department.
Turn in all items found in the employee's working area to hotel lost and found department.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor and assist colleagues whenever needed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Physical activities include kneeling, crouching, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, walking, talking, seeing, hearing, bending, handling, feeling, reaching, stretching, grasping.
Ability to work alone in an established routine.
Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

What You'll Do

Counts and reconciles total funds to ensure the integrity of the count.
Transfers the corresponding documentation to the Accounting Department on a daily basis.
Prepares funds, with proper documentation for transfer of funds to the Cage Department.
Conducts all facets of the count from the opening of the boxes, counting of the drop, verification of documentation and bundling of currency to the final reconciliation of totals, as well as any other related tasks.
Performs related duties and responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
This knowledge and these abilities are typically acquired through the completion of a high school education, or equivalent as well as two months on-the-job training
Ability to maintain all Regulatory licenses within assigned state of employment
Must successfully pass background check
Must successfully pass an alcohol and drug screening
Knowledge of AS/400 computer system, and 10-key calculator.
Ability to operate currency counting equipment.
Knowledge of cashiering or banking operations.
Ability to communicate effectively with subordinates, coworkers, and management.
Ability to count and separate varying denominations of chips and currency.
Ability to motivate and direct the performance of subordinates.
This position is physical in nature and requires the incumbent to effectively and efficiently move around work areas, bend, squat, reach, twist, carry and move up to 50 pounds retrieving and emptying boxes.
Ability to push/pull the drop cart, with assistance, which can weigh up to 2000 pounds
Ability to remain standing for majority of shift and make way around the Count Room in an efficient manner.
This position spends a large portion of the shift on the gaming floor, and is subject to varying levels of crowds, noise, and smoke, the severity of which depends upon customer volume.
Must be flexible to work varying shifts and time schedule as needed.
