Position Overview QinetiQ US is seeking a highly motivated Senior Mechanical Engineer, who will be responsible for the mechanical design and development of ruggedized military hardware products within a multidisciplinary engineering team. Products include electro-optical and electromechanical soldier-borne systems, ground-based systems, and airborne systems. Acting as a mechanical lead on projects, the candidate will conceptualize systems, plan and execute design and analysis tasks, and review and approve design documentation to ultimately deliver a system that meets customer requirements, schedule, and budget. Position Summary This position will be part of the Predictive Maintenance and Logistics Team supporting Department of Defense (DoD) customers on projects that leverage advanced technologies including machine learning, artificial intelligence (ML/AI), and cloud infrastructure. The Principal Data Visualization Specialist will lead the design and delivery of advanced data visualization solutions using Qlik, ensuring that dashboards and reports provide meaningful, actionable insights to decision-makers. The employee will serve as a subject matter expert on Qlik development, data modeling, and visualization strategy, while mentoring junior team members and advising program leadership on best practices. The role includes close collaboration with data scientists and analysts, integration of visualizations with cloud and big data platforms, and engagement with customers to refine requirements. Duties and Responsibilities Lead the design and development of Qlik dashboards, reports, and visualization products for complex datasets. Partner with program leadership and customers to define visualization requirements and deliver solutions that drive decision-making. Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data across visualization products. Serve as a subject matter expert for Qlik scripting, data modeling, and performance optimization.
