For 15 years Kai served as the Executive Vice President & Head of Research for CIBA Vision’s Advanced Technology Division and is the inventor of over 100 vision care patents, many of which still contribute to approximately 1/3 of CIBA Vision’s annual revenue of over $1.6 billion. Prior to founding QSpex Technologies, Inc. in 2007 he was founder and President of Technology Resource International from 1995-2005. Kai holds a Ph.D. in polymer chemistry from Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn and a BS in chemistry from Tamking University in Taiwan.

Experienced Sales and Marketing Manager with a demonstrated history of working in the medical device industry. Skilled in Medical Devices, Sales, Sales Operations, Team Building, and Six Sigma. Strong media and communication professional with a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) focused in Applied Economics from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
